A working relationship is established between both colleagues and service users, where time is spent with participants of either colleagues or service users during work hours. This relationship is kept strictly professional and should involve little or no contact out of work hours. Working relationships do not allow arguing, accepting differences, discussing interests or beliefs and personal life problems between the participants of the relationship. Sharing information on staff and service users is not allowed in a working relationship as followed by policies and procedures and things such as data protection. A personal relationship is where personal life and extracurricular activities and social life become involved with service users and other staff, personal relationships can be carried outside of work hours. Personal relationships allow arguing, accepting differences, discussing interests or beliefs and personal life problems between participants. With a personal relationship there are no rules or regulations on sharing information about others and there is no limit on the people you may wish to tell. Personal relationships can also be formed by anyone. Aii Give two examples of different working relationships in adult social care setting.
