NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS Apart from the endless supply of Christmas sweets, the great fun, and the massive amount of blissfulness that people have by the end of the year and the beginning of a new one, the New Year is also the traditional time to make resolutions. Resolutions are promises to himself. He either keeps them or breaks them. If one makes resolutions to change a habit, then he is a person who wants to make changes in his lifestyle. These promises are made on New Year's Day, the first day of a brand new year. These resolutions are supposed to be either fulfilled or abandoned by the end of that year. The massive majority of people agree on the need a new lifestyle. The aim of most resolutions is to turn over a new leaf. It is to make one feel accomplished and good about the decisions one has made. That is, to make oneself better by changing one’s routines and habits. It is like making a fresh, new start in life Generally, there are two main types of resolutions: give up or take up. Many people say that his New Year’s Resolutions are to give up a bad habit or to take up a new hobby. My New Year’s Resolution is to carry on working hard and carry on being happy and healthy. I plan to keep on studying, keep on exercising, keep on eating well and keep on sleeping well, keep on getting on well with my family and friends. Nothing too big, experience tells me that if one tries to ask oneself to do too much, it will eventually not happen. The list of resolutions in New Year never ends. Some remain abandoned, while some get fulfilled. The New Year resolutions help plan for the next year. A New Year’s Resolution is generally a goal someone sets out to accomplish in the coming year.
