Plot and Structure: The Public Enemy is the story of the rise and fall of young mobster Tom Powers and his lifelong best friend Matt Doyle during the Prohibition-Era in urban America. They begin their life of crime by doing small petty crimes with a neighborhood gangster Putty Nose. When a fur coat heist goes wrong, Tom and Matt end up shooting a police officer, and Putty Nose flees town. The boys vow to get revenge on him.

Amir is the character that is extremely similar to his father Buba, because they both have committed sins in their past. Amir by, watching Hassan his own half-brother get raped or Buba, having sex with his servant’s wife. In the beginning of the book Amir is a person who won’t stand up for himself let alone for any of his friends. Amir is a very selfish and un-loyal person to Hassan, whereas Hassan is a very loyal and selfless person. Although it all changes when Amir and Buba moves to America some of sins from the past still continue to haunt the future.
He does not reveal and or admit to anyone that he knew and involvment in Joey’s murder until later on the film. Terry confesses to Father Barry about his involvement in Joey’s death and Father Barry convinces Terry to tell Edie. With the help of Father Barry and Joey’s sister, Edie Doyle, Terry decides to try and expose the mobsters corrupt union leaders plans to employ and to extort money and labor, but it may be too late. Terry ends up testifying to the commission in court against Friendly’s mob, and sends him and every mob member to prison. The film then moves to a scene in which Terry delivers a speech announcing a new goal which was to break away from mob rule.
His partner, Detective Yu, would cover for him in Shanghai while he was away. While in the US, Inspector Chen discreetly continued his investigations while serving his duty as a delegation head. Then one day, their delegation interpreter, Little Huang, was beaten to death near their hotel. The local police thought it was a failed robbery, but Inspector Chen suspected that it was murder, and HE was the real target. Chen had to be really careful in his investigation.
Alex discovers that Ian’s car is at a junkyard and finds dozens of bullet holes and blood on the seats that proving that his uncle was murdered. Alex's quest for the truth introduces him to Alan Blunt, a spymaster for Britain's MI6 espionage agency. He discovers that his uncle was actually spy on a mission when he was killed. Alex is forced to be recruited by Mr. Blunt to continue the mission, making him the world youngest MI6 spy. He is sent to investigate a new computer system, which Mr. Sayle has created, he plans to give the new computer systems to every school in the country, but Mr. Blunt has other ideas and Alex must find out what it is before they go online in two weeks time.

That is the basic structure for any hero in any piece of fiction. Travis uses all of the weapons he purchases from Easy Andy in his all out assault on the brothel to rescue Iris and get her life back on the right track. He also planned to use his hidden sleeve gun when he tried to assassinate senator Palentine. Travis could be considered a psychopath, but he has good reason for his actions. So, Travis is one very mentally troubled individual to say the least.
The film follows a single day in the life of an LAPD cop, Jake Hoyt, who is being evaluated by Detective Alonzo Harris, who is a highly decorated LAPD narcotics officer and who could advance his career. Detective Harris extorts people and drug dealers by using methods not allowed by the legal system to get to the “big bad guys” and for his own personal gains. He kills innocents under the cover of the LAPD badge. Harris explains to him that, “In the undercover world, this is how things work. If you don’t do it this way, you won’t survive”.
Back in the Lowman residence, Linda scolds her sons for abandoning her father back at the restaurant. Biff eventually talks with Willy, unable to keep to himself. He says that the Lomans are nothing but ordinary people, and may be replaced overnight. Biff cries in his father’s shoulder, and Willy takes this as a sign of love and respect. In another hallucination, Willy talks with Ben.
