Being a good role model for my children means a lot to me. Having a father that was a alcoholic and who never graduated high school was never a role model in my eyes. Three Reason I Decided to Return to School Kevin Day Gen/200 February 21, 2014 Carol Amato Three reasons I decided to return to school I thought I should return to school to better my career, gain more knowledge, and be more self-sufficient. I would better my career by going into the field of Kinesiology, which is the movement of the human body. This is a very broad field that goes into so many different directions. I would like to coach at a high school/college or at a higher-level school. My passion is to coach kids and teach them what I have learned.
“Living alone and impotent in an inimical world.” The person I choose to reflect my theory on is Shantay Fields. She is not my biological sister, but my mother has raised her since she was a baby and my mother is all she knew. So, I consider her being my biological sister since my mother raised her. I chose Shantay above others because she is an outstanding single mother to a smart, wonderful, and bright sixteen year old daughter by the name of Tatyana Fields. She had her daughter at a young age and with no help from her father, she did it all by herself.
I was kind of scared to first start but as I got into my first class, it got a lot easier. You know I always thought classes on line were just like regular classes actually in the classroom. But I have found that online fit me better. So in my journey of continuing my education I am glad that I chose to do online classes. My past is very well lets say intresting.
These external factors include ego, wanting a promotion, more money or avoiding negative consequences. Determining my motivation factor can help with my online studies. I learned my motivation is extrinsic. I want to get a degree to get a promotion, earn more money and have bragging rights that I am the only sibling to attend college. I have always considered myself a good student, it was ego based, get the highest scores to appear smart to others.
She went to school at Best Care INC. to be a Home Health Aide. She worked for the company making very little money ; Not long after working for the company she left and went back to school for Nursing assistance making a little more money. Sabrina wants to reveal to her children to see that when you want to achieve your dreams in life, it’s never too late. Now that she’s back in school she’s now able become a Nurse like she has always wanted to be. Sabrina has been in school before to try somewhat fulfill her dream working in the health field.
Second, I set to work finding a job. Third, I decided to go back to school. It is this third resolution that I will focus on in this paper. I will explain why going back to school is enjoyable, what challenges I face incorporating school into my life and how it gives me the validation I need. My mother decided to homeschool me; I am the first in my family to pursue higher education.
