P | * I believe destiny always gets its way * Life pushes some people into a corner and gives them an ultimatum * Powerful forces can emerge from misfortune * Falsely accused of crime I didn’t commit * Became educated and desired truth and justice | I | * Malcolm’s path in life was abruptly challenged when he went to prison. * I was angry because I didn’t know how to read legalize * Angry because I felt law was being used a sword against me * I started going to Seattle law library and reading case law * Couldn’t hire lawyer * Didn’t know how properly address court * Eventually befriended a lawyer * Currently considering studying law * | E | | I believe destiny always gets its way. Life will push some people into a corner, which at the time, may seem there is no way out. During such events, powerful forces can emerge from the darkness of despair and bless the native with weapons of virtue to transform the self. Malcolm’s path in life was abruptly challenged when he went to prison, yet he harnessed the forces within himself to triumph his misfortune. Now I didn't go to prison, but I was confronted with a catastrophe that nearly devoured me. I was suddenly confronted with the law and being accused of a crime I did not commit. I was humanly furious because the law was suddenly being used as a word against me. During the proceedings, I was terror-stricken because I didn’t know how to properly address a court and I couldn’t afford an Attorney to speak on my behalf. I began to die and lose sense of myself until I, just like Malcolm, harnessed the forces within me and armed myself with weapons of virtue; literature, intelligence, truth! I befriended a lawyer, Mrs. Trisha Grove, who steered me towards the resources I needed to gain knowledge; I look up to and respect Mrs. Grove very much, it’s because of her I
