My English Wardrobe

My English Wardrobe Language is a lot like an outfit to me; you would not wear pajamas to a job interview or an evening gown to the gym, it is just absurd. That’s what I believe my ‘Englishes’ are like to me. I would not write a college essay like I would talk to my best friend nor would I talk to my peers as if I were the addressing the Queen of England. I do not believe I can put an exact amount of ‘Englishes’ that I have, almost like my inability to count the number of outfits I could possibly wear. I would address my elders with total respect, however with my grandmother, while I would definitely display utmost respect to her, I would also be silly and poke fun at my grandfather with her. My ‘Englishes’ are circumstantially plentiful. Upon thinking about what that means to me, I believe that being able to alter ‘Englishes’ with people makes for more intimate relationships through the ability to communicate through more personal relationships. To define my “Englishes” for the sake of explanation I will say that I three categories of “Englishes,” conversational, intellectual, and formal. My conversational English is generally the way I would speak with those who I am comfortable with, my pajamas or sweatpants of English. People whom I speak with conversationally usually include my peers, family members, teachers that I am comfortable with, and my closest friends. When I am speaking conversationally, the types of things that I would say would be words made up of interests, jokes, sarcasm, gossip (we all do it), current events, and other topics that spark general conversation. Often times I also find myself in forced conversations where I consequentially become insincere. This usually happens as obligation to my family and friends. These conversations are usually structured by the other person talking about some aspect of their personal life, often drama that I
