At least, that’s the line of thought most kids follow. But when Griffin goes too far Eric begins to notice exactly what he is doing to his so-called friends. What’s a kid to do when his conscience kicks in but his brain tells him that he will be the next victim if he does anything? The theme of this story is don't always judge a book by its cover. I say this B/c Eric thought Griffin would be a good friend to hang-out with b/c of the way he respected other people.
The more they practice and the more teachers and parents instill this in their minds, the better they will become. Perfect practice, makes perfect. Most people would probably have trouble with trying to remember how they learned to read. I would have to say that I am a person who loves to read and I think that is it really an amazing thing. Also, I am someone who is involved in education and research and I think that it is amazing how learning to read is said to be a talent that it potentially impossible.

However, by the end of the school year, Peter’s behavior progressed and his classmates were no longer startled by him but were helping him and encouraging him. As Peter becomes, a part of the classroom Peter begins to learn cognitive skills through the teaching of his peers. It was very interesting to see how the children were so willing to help the teacher with teaching Peter what he needs to know as a third grader and as a classmate. It was very refreshing to see the young ladies in the classroom helping Peter with his work that needed to be completed and how the classmates as a whole made Peter feel special when he completed an assignment or behaved as the classmates would like him to in the classroom setting. Literacy always plays a key role in daily life from past to present. Sherman Alexie is the writer of “The Joy of Reading and Writing: Superman and Me”. Alexie was born to a US family on the Spokane Indian Reservation in eastern Washington State and his family has[had] very poor living standard[s] but his father is[was] never miserly with books. In his essay he described[s] how he became a competitive student through reading books and gaining knowledge.
The children mature when they learn about empathy, courage and hypocrisy and how they can affect a small town. They learn through lessons, situations, through education, and by example of other characters’ actions. Their father teaches them and reflects with them on how empathy, courage and hypocrisy are very relevant in their lives. Atticus tries to convey lessons to his children throughout the entire novel. One of the most important lessons that he teaches them is empathy, “You never really understand a person until you climb into his skin and walk around in it” 30.
This showed that he was passionate for the kid’s safety. He helps them by making them stay away from gangs, violence, alcohol, and drugs. Doing these things has made him a better person and makes him stand out more than a celebrity or an NBA all-star, but it shows that he is a hero. He didn’t stop his persistent attitude in trying to make ends meet to provide for his family, in his persistence he managed to find a house to live in, he rode his bike into town to get money and he built a small bar for people that could afford it. Characterization added to the moral lesson because it allowed for the reader to see Jonathan’s struggle. Even from the beginning the reader could tell that he was a good person who would do anything to care for his family. Jonathan shows how he takes responsibility but praises God through the statement “nothing puzzles God” which becomes like a statement to relax himself, he says it in times of doubt and when he knows that he’ll have to keep himself motivated. 2.
