There are many people that will be involved in this decision and it is not a decision that is to be taken lightly. There is all aspect of things that an organization can benefit from when implementing an information system. The biggest thing of all that an organization needs to look at when looking to implementing an information system is will it allows us to grow, will it allows to be more efficient. All of these things have to be looked and thought through carefully. The goal is that the new information system implementation will allow the company to provide better care for the patients, as well as for the company.
The way you tell someone to do something, may be ok to one person, but it could be offensive, or threatening to another. When you offend that person, it is then when you have to be the bigger person and fix things. If not, the work place will not be very comfortable to work in for the both of you and it could effect the people around you, too. Another example in this area would be how you spend your time. We learned how behavior can influence organizational structure, organizational culture, and power and politics. Power and political behavior can play a big role within an organization, because they are “natural processes in any group or organization” (Robbins & Judge, 2011, p. 420). Power refers to a capability that an individual has to influence the behavior of another person, so they will act in accordance with what that individual wishes. According to Robbins and Judge (2011), the bases of power can be grouped into two, formal and personal power (p. 421).
A team cannot be effective if there is confusion and chaos in the tasks. Each person's contributions are important, so each person needs to know what is expected of them at all times. It is also important for the team to be organized, so that at any given time they can meet to discuss the project at hand and see the progress that is being made my each individual team member and to see if any changes should be made. The scheduling of activities may seem to some to be a thankless task but this is a task of great importance that should be undertaken with caution and taking everythong into account. There are many reasons for scheduling activities and each reason should be carefully scrutinised to ensure all sections are in line within the budget restraints and that maximum cover is afforeded withiout placing the organisation at risk. Once the project owner (Department Head / CEO etc) has over seen, approved and signed off the scheduling then it can be introduced to the respective organisation / department / manpower.
