MEN ARE BETTER COOK THAN WOMEN On Monday night I was watching Asian Food Channel, one of the most famous shows for food lovers. I am actually not a good cooker, though I am categorized as female gender, I do not know how to cook well. I delved into the following fascinating, potentially freighted, and cosmic question: Do men cook better than women? I have heard a lot of answers regarding this question. Most people said men and women are actually equal to each other. Their point of views sounds fair as it is does not bias to any gender, but yet, the answers leaving me clueless. I have once heard my mother yammering, the complaint looks relevant: men do the barest minimal when it comes to cooking in the kitchen. My mother corroborates when I asked her this question, “Your dad hardly peeps into the kitchen when it comes to cooking”. “Of course, there is very little that can be done for the only recipe he knows is Maggie (instant noodles) and egg pouch." Well, in case of my mother, the story changes. My father should perhaps be educated more on the preparation of other delicacies. But what about the others? I have read in a recently conducted Australian survey, it was found out that, eight out of ten women do most of the cooking. So, where have the boys gone? Or is it some kind of celestial rule that it's the women – come what may – who have to do the cooking at all times. Benjamin, a friend of mine who lives with a high hope, answer me: he says: "The girl I marry has to know cooking. I am foodie, and, for sure, she will have to make me eat all the nice delicacies I want." My father is not an exception; there are others, cut from the same piece of cloth.
