There are approximately six different things to look at, and to tick of if needed, (Outdoors: Safety of equipment, safety of floor, etc. Indoors: Equipment, first aid, blockage of fire doors, etc.) if for instance a piece of equipment was fine in the morning, it could have broken in the afternoon, the checks make sure that if anything does get broke, we will find them before the children do Our Daily risk assessment is done twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, we complete one for indoors and one for outdoors. First, employers need to ensure that all jobs are classified properly as either exempt or non-exempt. Once this is accomplished, the employer needs to have their HR department periodically review the job descriptions by performing a job analysis. This will help to determine if the job classification changed. Keeping up with job classifications will reduce the potential FLSA claims. Second, employers need to ensure non-exempt employees keep timesheets of all work performed.
Jason Tierro, an inventory Jason Tierro, an inventory clerk at Lexmar Company, is responsible for taking a physical count of the goods on hand at the end of the year. He has been performing this duty for several years. This year, Jason was very busy due to a shortage of personnel at the company, so he decided to just estimate the amount of ending inventory instead of doing an accurate count. He reasoned that he could come very close to the true amount because of his past experience working with inventory. Besides, he was sure that the sophisticated computer program that Lexmar had just invested in kept an accurate record of inventory on hand.

LOLER covers hoists, slings and bath hoists, and states that a competent person must thoroughly examine equipment for lifting people atleast every six months, and other equpment at least every year. The client will therefore have to wait, or be moved in a different way until there is safe equipment to
Business @ Work – Credit 2013 Chelsea Moore Section 2 4.a.) b.) One item I have selected for my Job Specification in my Production Assistant is “re-order stock from supplies when required” because if the assistant could do this then it would mean that I wouldn’t run out of stock or be low on stock and I wouldn’t have too much stock that I would have to put in storage and lose out on money by paying for the storage. Another item I have selected for my Job Specification in my Production Assistant is “Carry out safety checks on all equipment on a weekly basis” and this would mean that I could make sure all the equipment was working and if it wasn’t I would know if I had to buy new equipment and if something wasn’t safe I would know so I could get it fixed. c.) I used the Job Specification and Person Specification when recruiting and selecting my new employees because I can see what skills the employee would need and I can make sure the employee has the skills they need the job.
When a resignation is received, HR should take reasonable steps to do an outtake interview with the employee to find out why they are leaving and whether the company can take steps to improve the work environment. These outtake interviews should be kept in company records should a complaint arise, so that it can be demonstrated that the company did not have the requisite intent to constructive discharge employees. Finally, the company should make it a policy to address all employee complaints. This will not only foster better communication with employees, but allow the company to demonstrate that it has not constructive discharged an
