The purpose is to provide a system and instructions, and to assign responsibilities for the use of statistical techniques, in order to establish control, and verify process capability and product characteristics, while continually improving our production processes. To provide a system for requesting, initiating and completing corrective and preventive actions. This applies to all production, auditing, and inspection activities that require use of statistical techniques. Urgent release forms and samples will be kept for items, needed for urgent production. if product is nonconforming and can be reworked by end of shift it must be tagged with an immediate rework. If it is beyond repair it must be approved by supervisor, and tagged with an immediate scrap. All other non conforming product will have nonconforming tag placed on it and moved to a non conforming area. The responsible manager/supervisor will complete a disposition within two days and then turn into the process improvement department. The process improvement department will determine the disposition and will then perform disposition within two business days and update the open disposition log. The log will contain a record of all tagged nonconforming product and will be summarized periodically by the Process Improvement department and also be reviewed by the branch management team once a month. Customers will notify customer service via fax or phone one day prior to returning goods. No product shall be offloaded from a customer without returned merchandise authorization (RMA) paperwork. Customer service will give customer RMA number and fill out paperwork and forward paperwork to the shipping department. When product is received, and the disposition is done the RMA is returned to customer service
