Benjamin Franklin theWriter Benjamin Franklin was born January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts. His parents names were Josiah Franklin, and Abiah Franklin. Benjamin would be one of seventeen children that his father Josiah would father. As a kid, Benjamin was going to be a clergy, however his father could only afford to send him to school for one year. Because of Benjamin’s love to read, his older brother James apprenticed him into being a printer at the age of 12.
I will be discussing about the different impacts on popular music and explaining why I think although there were many impacts why I think radio had the biggest impact. Radio increased consumerism and changed the schedules of people’s lives. It increased consumerism because everyone household had a radio; it was the focus of people’s lives. We now have TV’s but in the 1920’s people would have changed the schedules just to hear the best show on the radio. It kept everyone up to date with the News, crazes and trends.
Fisrt of all, Martin Luther King who was raised in a middle-class family, had born in January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia and gone to college and got his PhD; he was so smart because he skipped the first and last year at Booker T washignton Hight school and went directly to the college. After that, he became an activist in the civil right movement and a releigon pastor. He married a women in 1953 who was also an activist in the civil rights fight; this women is Coretta Scott King. Coretta King raised their two sons and two daughters. There are many qualities that conterbuited to Martin Luther King sucsess.
Napoleon went on by being a successful leader because; he crowned himself emperor which was a big accomplishment for him. He brought together all the legal reforms of the revolution and mixed them with other existing French laws, he then ordered officials to reorganize laws into the Civil code (Napoleonic Code) which was a new set of laws in the nation. Although people were unhappy with the current laws he created, it gave people more freedom for religion speech and thought. In 1796 napoleon won victories in multiple places including; Italy, Lodi, Castiglione, and Arcole which represented himself as a leader. Napoleon was also a strong leader because he thought of his people; he made a new program of public works that employed many.
Franklin was the 15th of his father’s 17 children. Franklin was groomed from birth to become a minister and follow in his father’s footsteps. Instead of Franklin walking in his father’s footsteps Ben had an interest in reading and writing. Flash up a couple years and Benjamin Franklin became the founding fathers of America, he was a man who lived his life to its fullest potential. As he grew older and more mature, Ben Franklin became the model that the government officials, early colonists, and future citizens of the United States of America look up to for his wisdom.
Harry Braverman Harry Braverman was born on December 9, 1920, in Brooklyn, New York, to Jewish- Polish parents, Morris and Sarah Braverman. His father was a shoe maker and worked hard to provide his son with a college education. Unfortunately, after one year at Brooklyn College, Braverman was forced to withdraw from college and find employment. He did, however, return to college in the early 1960s, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from the New School for Social Research in 1963 (Gale, "Harry Braverman."). Although his time at college was short, it greatly influenced him as the radical ideas of socialism and Marxism spread throughout New York's college campuses (Marxists’ Internet Archive).
Radio days the film is a film that is very interesting. In the movie it shows how much the invention or radio broadcasting changed the world and how it affected so many people’s ways of life. It tells the story of Joe and his families’ lives with how the radio helps them to escape reality and how they are influenced by it and the people who they hear on it. This movie goes to show how much life has changed from the 1930s to now. This movie is a great way to learn about life before the internet and TV.
Thomas started out as a curious young boy who was infatuated with machines, and other laws of the world. He always tried to know how everything worked. As Thomas grew, he became an inventor, and either tried to make something that one could not, or would invent something on his one. Due to the fact that Thomas Edison may have borrowed some ideas from someone else, some people believe that Thomas may not be worthy to be on Mount Rushmore. However, he had earned over 1,093 U.S. patents (a government authority to sell an invention for a period of time), and simply took a step further with the borrowed ideas, making it possible for the invention to be a success.
Through all of his education he learned the significance of public speaking and reaching out to others. His goal was to be like his father and become a minister and he did at the age of 19. He wanted to further his education and attended Croezer Theological Seminary and graduated with many honors. He eventually got his doctoral degree At Boston University. After he completed his studies he then became Pastor of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Alabama.
Radio soon became hugely popular. In the 1930’s radio was known to every American, people planned their whole lives around it. People got a chance to become aware of national and international politics. As the arrival of television came around, people assumed that it was the end of radio. Radio survived and still has.
