For example, "…because he was Uncle Axel and my best friend among the grown-ups." (4,30)This happened when Uncle Axel asks David why he is speaking to himself. Santiago chooses his Legend and opposes what most people have done; ignore their aspirations. His choice to deny the norm, rebuke his education, disappoint his family, and trust fate proves that he is born to pursue his Personal Legend, thus, initiating the plot. Notably, Santiago is born with an instinctual love for travel and he is naturally curious and passionate in his situations. Santiago’s parents vie for their son to be an educated priest so he can be a source of pride in their village but “ever since he had been a child, he wanted to know the world, and this was much more important to him than knowing God and learning about man’s sins”(Coelho 8). Family honour is important to Santiago’s parents yet he still finds knowledge of the world more essential than the struggle
This journey is one of realisation and the pathway to maturity. This can be discussed in many different scenes from the movie. The most important thing to pete during the journey are his spiritual beliefs and ways learnt from his grandfather Jubbi. Before the journey pete was just a young boy, messing around with his best friend kalmain, believing his grandfathers 'old' ways were useless, and thinking he could look after himself but couldn't. The journey put pete into realisation that everything his grandfather had taught him had saved his and kalmains life.
Newman was a man who refused to accept failure, and demanded the appearance of great confidence in his family. Thus, it was this chance meeting with his uncle that inspired Miller to create Loman and the Loman household characters as they are. Wealth, hard work, job security and family union are some of the concepts that involves the well-known term, the American Dream. Few people think this dream is something that is automatically granted. Many others however, as in the story Death of a Salesman, view it as something that has to be achieved in order to be successful.
E\Essay on Montana 1948 In Montana 1948 it explores the sense that David believed to have a positive role model in uncle Frank until he true colours were revealed and he realized later what a great role model he had in his father. Watson it showed that David's rite of passage was based on Frank's negative impact on him and the awareness that there is evil in the world. The hardest thing that David had to go through was coming to terms with seeing his uncle in a different way; this was made known when David said "too frightening for me to continue thinking of my uncle in the way I always had." Watson shows that people eventually become cynical and disillusioned with the world when they discover that their role models are in fact corrupt and immoral. Confirmation to support this is when David reveals "did I wonder what might happen if I killed my uncle".

It turns out that Miguel's grandparents are forgiving him for killing his brother, which is the big conspiracy that set this whole thing in motion. And finally Rondell and Miguel decide to stop running from their past and go back to the group home to make amenends. We Were Here is one powerful book by Matt De La Pe`na because it could help anyone understand more of themselves. Also this book could help those whom have had issues overcoming serious problems. I loved this book also because when miguel narrates it is like your a speaking to a real person.
“My grandfather continued: `Yes my boy, forty years ago all this belonged to Masood – two thirds of it is now mine’ this was news to me for I had imagined that the land had belonged to my grandfather ever since God’s creation.” (125) The idea of lacking morals and empathy play a huge role in the blunt realization that something may not always be what it appeals to be. When the young narrator finds out that his grandfather isn’t the perfect man that he thought he was, and that he is truly just taking everything that Masood has left. It shows the narrator that in real life you need to make decisions and though it may not appeal to everyone you need to do what you believe is right. When they were harvesting
