Values are what you want and need to achieve the goals you set for yourself and your family. Values can be obtained in many different ways. The most important piece for building values is your family. I am responsible as a mother for teaching my children what is right or wrong before, any other influence reaches them. I can only wish that what I have already instilled in my two children is a reflection of myself as a parent.
I used the techniques my parents taught me, and that their parents taught them and put it into consideration while raising Zara and Samia. From what I believe I was a very warm parent. But based off of the evaluations, I was told that compared to other parents I was more strict. My parenting I believe helped Zara turn into the young adult she is today. My warm and (according to virtual child) strict parenting help mold Zara into I believe would be the best example of a child any parent would want.
Anyone who has raised a child can understand the many obstacles and challenges of parenthood. Every parent wants to see their child happy and succeed in life, but in order to accomplish that, many parents believe they must grant their child’s every want and need. Ruben Navaratte Jr.’s article from the San Diego Tribune, “The deprived child who has it all” is shared to be aimed towards the parents of the new millennium. Navarette bring up the issue about parents of the new millennium who make the mistake of ironically providing too much for their children. In the opening paragraph of the article, Navarette shares his own experience of growing up as a child in the 1940’s.
My parents really believed in shaping me into a good person when i was younger. When i was younger my parents would always scold me if I was thinking about the negative side of the situation instead of the positive side. This belief is "core" for me because it will take you places you have never thought
Parents often have a large influence over their young children. For some, their parents’ smile means the world to them and for others, they tend to push themselves to the limits just to gain their parents’ approval. As they are the child’s parents, they are looked up to and learned from. To a child in his learning stage of life, who cannot differentiate from right to wrong, they need parental guidance and usually learn just by watching their parents’ actions. A learning child picks things up quickly and is inclined to imitate whomever they see.
I visit them on holidays… I still call them mom and dad. They’re always there to support me.” Nai advises potential and current foster parents to encourage teens in their care to be the best that they can be and to do things that will affect their lives positively. “Every kid is different, so try to support them in what they want to do. [My foster parents] really tried to help me out as much as they could. I’m really thankful that I got placed in foster care as I might have otherwise been in a much worse situation with my education and in terms of becoming a successful
The most important convention I’ve learned through this is how to rely on my self more and take responsibility to help my mother out as much as possible since there is one less person. I have both feelings of this experience changing my life for the better in a way, but it mostly changed it for the worse. In the past two years I’ve learned how to be a more active member for my family, and not hide my feelings. My family has become so close since this hardship has
The traits I have chosen for my personal character are applicable to me because I have always looked upon the characteristics of a successful person and I believe my personal character possesses the traits. I am the oldest of my four siblings and it is necessary for me to be a role model and pave the path for each of them. My parents must depend on me to be responsible to look over them at times. I show my siblings my self-confidence so they can take that and overcome any challenges they might face and not to fear them. When they struggle on homework I’m there to navigate them through it until they are capable of doing it on their own.
Visiting a Early childcare and education center showed me there's a lot more than just babysitting or watching kids. when you enter into the Early child care and Education field you are educating, supporting, being responsible for children and loving them like they are your own. Learning about the importance of knowing as much about every childs family and community around them is a great way to become and have a great daycare. Because young childrenís lives are so embedded in their families and communities, and because research indicates that successful early childhood education depends upon partnerships with families and communities, early childhood professionals need to thoroughly understand and apply their knowledge in this area. Common Core: Should We Pass It or Trash It? If you are a parent, then you know what I mean when I say that our children are our pride and joy. We put so much love and effort into their primary development, and try hard to teach and guide them in the ways we think best. So when it comes time to send our precious little-ones to their first day of school, wouldn’t we want those same goals in their academic education? If you are like most parents, there would be no other answer in your mind than “Yes”.
