In Christianity it is believed that Jesus Christ was the savior to all humanity and was sent to Earth by his father (God) to pay for the sins of all mankind. In Judaism on the other hand, Jesus was merely a prophet. Both Christianity and Judaism were established in Israel. Christianity was founded around 30 AD in contrast to Judaism which started around 1000 BC. Although a few sacred readings and the form that followers pray are similar in both religions they are also slightly different.
Explain the main ethical principles of religion you have studied (25 marks) Christianity is a religion of many different branches and because of this there is no universal set of ethics. This lack of absolute ethics amongst Christians is due to the diversity of Christianity as there are many denominations for example Roman Catholic Christianity and Protestantism. Roman Catholic Christianity bases its ethics on the Holy Bible and the magisterium which consists of the Pope and the cardinals; in contrast to Protestantism that sees the Holy Bible as the only source of authority. Though both denominations follow the bible they interpret and accept the different parts of the bible. In general, there are similar ethical beliefs amongst Christians due to Judaism being the only root of Christian ethics.
McCloskey contended against the three mystical verifications, which are the cosmological argument, the argument from design and the teleological argument. He called attention to the presence of evil on the planet that God made. He likewise called attention to that it is irrational to live by trust or faith. As indicated by McCloskey, confirmations do not essentially assume a fundamental part in the conviction of God. Page 62 of the article expresses that "most theists do not come to have faith in God as a premise for religious conviction, however come to religion as a consequence of different reasons and variables."
According to Seaver, “These problems were apparent especially among the Native Americans and the Colonists. Colonists were Catholics and Protestants as opposed to their Native American counterparts” (1856). The Indians was into a pantheon of gods and goddesses, along with their own religions and rituals. Polytheism is the type of belief and animism religions, where spirits and the nature are practice. The nature and traditional spirits were worshiped by the West Africans.
Likewise, the Ganesha’s sacred text is the book, Puranas. Doaism’s higher being is called the Dao; the Anslem’s higher being is the Christian God; and the religion of Ganesha’s higher being is the Hindu god, Ganesha. They all have followers, which are Dao’s Chinese followers, Anslem’s Christian followers, and Ganesha’s Hindu followers. The Dao and Anslem are different from Ganesha because they do not use idols for worship. They sacrifice for their religion, and their religious thought depends upon their social class.
Corruption, school-dropouts, and alcoholism are to blame for most of the poor. The land the Native-Americans live on is hard to harvest; therefore farming for food and vegetables can be hard. Property rights on the reservation tend to be non-existent, and weaken prosperity for this culture. Most of lands that Native-Americans live are communally, no one is able to get a clear title to his or her land, making is hard to borrow money or establish credit for improvements or investments they will benefit families. This is called tragedy of the commons, when everyone owns the land no one really owns the land which results in rundown housing due to lack of investments on the property or housing.

This would also be true for those who did not abide by the commandments for both Mormons and non-Mormons. The third and final kingdom is the telestial kingdom which is also called the glory of stars.
The psychology of a group of individuals is a key feature in determining the success of a nation. The idea of a nation must exist in people’s minds; otherwise if they do not feel part of a community then it doesn’t exist. This is why when a group of individuals are geographically separated; this can lead to a lack of feeling of unity. The Kurds, for example, are an ethnic group of thirty million individuals that are socially segregated across adjacent parts of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. They are known to be the largest ethnic group without a country of their own but have occupied the area of Kurdistan for several thousands of years.
White noted that Christianity was a complex faith, and different branches of it differ in their outlook. But in general, he proposed that Christianity, and Western civilization as a whole, held a view of nature that separated humans from the rest of the natural world, and encouraged exploitation of it for our own ends. There has been much discussion of these ideas, and they have been both attacked and supported (some of this discussion is referenced below). But there is no doubt that this article raised some important questions. There is much literature on the influence of religious beliefs and traditions on a person's
Functionalism and the Family 1. Once the family were a unit of production that was often based upon family based production particularly in pre-industrial times and the family was often self-sufficient with production and distribution carried out by custom and tradition. High mortality rates and low means of production meant life was short and hard in these times especially in rural areas where family was often centred with male children being a priority for survival as strength was typically trait linked to men. Goods were not only produced for consumption but for trade in the market as well. In order to sustain this style of economy, high fertility rates were absolutely necessary to maintain the supply of labour demand without little care for literacy other than basic understanding of the bible.
