How to Tie your Shoes To young children, tying shoes can be a hard and tedious task at hand. However once a child learns how to tie their shoes they become elated and turn into a child that just walked into a giant candy store. To become a professional “shoe tier” you must acquire three basic materials: your favorite pair of shoes with laces, your hands, and most importantly, your brain. The following steps can be frustrating at times. You just need to take a deep breath and focus on the outcome. Now let’s get ready to tie your shoe! In advance I must warn you that tying your shoes might seem like a difficult task, but on the contrary, it is as easy as 1, 2, and 3. First, you must prepare your mind for the stress ahead. Second, placed your foot in your shoe, you must now take the right shoelace and place it in the right hand and take your left shoelace and put it in your left hand. Third, crisscross your laces. To crisscross your laces, take your right shoelace and place it over your left shoelace in order to make a cross. Fourth, as mentioned in the third step, you are still holding your right and left shoelace. Hold the aglet on the right shoelace and bring it under your left shoelace and through the hole. Your right shoelace will now be facing left. The left shoelace will be facing right. Fifth, pull both shoelaces close to the tongue of your shoe. Next the sixth step includes, picking up your left shoelace, which is now on the right side. Seventh, make a loop with your left shoelace, which should now be on the right side, hold the loop in your right hand with your thumb and index fingers. Eight, use your left hand to wrap your right shoelace, which should now be on the left side, completely around your left shoelace’s loop which is on the right side.
