How to Find True Happiness What is happiness? Well, actually happiness is self-induced state of mind. Fairbanks (2004) identified that happiness is for all people who strive to be happy and those who laugh are happy. No one can be happy all the time. Sometimes when we are able to buy things that we really want, for example a car, we always thinks it gives us a long-lasting happiness. It is actually a temporary pleasure and it would not bring us to a real happiness. The happiest person is the one who spends most of his/her time with the family, friends, does not care about other’s business and most important, and forgive easily, the ones who surrounds his/herself with lots of people. Friends and family are such an important element to our ultimate happiness (Jason, 2008).

Being optimistic, honesty, trust, and self-respect are the keys for us to be happier. To find a true happiness, you need to change your habits and attitudes. Rubin (2009) said that the happier person will be the one who do new things. Happiness is influenced by our attitudes and habits. To stay happy, first of all you must appreciate what you have. Instead of focusing or keep dreaming about things that you will never have, you will be happier if you focus on all things that you have in your life whether it is money, friends or family. Do something that you can kae fun with. As said by Mcmillan (2011) learning new things will make you feel confident and also fun. Avoid doing something that would not bring you to happiness. Chernoff (2012) stated that you can do more things that make you happy when you quit doing the wrong things.

Next, you have to learn how to forgive. Forgiveness is the most important if you want a real happiness. Babauta (2009) said that it will be easier for us to move on and to be happy when we are able to forgive and let go. Forgiving people tend to be happier
