I love well written books that I can visualize with as I am reading. I love an author that can use words and phrases to keep me guessing throughout the book, it gives me the urge to want to know what is going to happen next. I want to keep reading to get to the end to fully understand what the author’s purpose is. I love a story that is very detailed because it gives me the chance to place myself in the story and really get into it.
Humanistic-Encouraging people are accepting of themselves, and accept others for who they are without question or criticism. In fact, those scoring higher on this scale have unconditional positive regard for others. This absolute acceptance enables people to grow the most and take greater responsibility for themselves. I agree with this result and believe that I can assist others in fulfilling their potential by providing a supportive climate that inspires self-improvement. As a manager, I can see myself inspiring my subordinates to think, grow and take responsibility for them.
It is a blessing that David Pelzer lived through this experience, and also that he was kind enough to share it with the world. I recommend everyone this book because it will truly touch your
But other than that I have really loved this book mainly because of the mystery behind the story. I couldn’t let the book down since I started reading it. It puts you at the edge of your seat which made me love it so much. I would rate this book a 10 out of 10. I also liked one quote from this novel “That’s what being crazy was, wasn’t it?
He had always thought they were best friends and that they were always there for each other, when Finny never realized Gene only saw the competition between them, and that really shows how completely different types of people they are. The novel A Separate Peace has many great examples of betrayal and all of them help you have a better understanding of the characters specifically, the plot and the theme of the whole story. John Knowles did a great job of using the text to help the readers understand the characters and the rest of the plot in a better
That is the strength of the book I think, not the simplicity but the way he makes you feel as though you are the writer. I honestly did not think there was a weak point to the book. This was one of the better books that I have read, mainly because I was very interested in the subject. The book was very interesting and intense.
He lays everything down in front of them to see. This kind of honesty and sincerity that he shows to the people is a new form of persuasion. Nixon’s persuasion skills made this speech a successful one, which has stuck with people even today. He used his words effectively, and did the job of refuting most if not all of the questions presenting themselves because of the funds that were donated. His final thoughts that he leaves with the people reinforce his main points, and put his full support behind his decisions and his running mate Eisenhower.
The central idea of this movie is the lessons learned by two geniuses. Through William’s help Jamal is able to discover the amazing writing talent he has, and through Jamal’s help William is able to discover the world that he only saw through his window for the past forty years. This move was able to bring this idea across clearly through its amazing characters. The characters of Jamal and William worked well together, and the metamorphosis that underwent both of them was clear. Jamal’s writing became amazingly good and William was able to see himself as an actual person rather then just an author.
Every serious story led to another joke that kept begging me to keep reading. He was very straight forward with the things he said and thought, and made comparing his stories to everyday life scenarios a lot easier and helped me to learn to laugh. I really enjoyed my time reading Me Talk Pretty One Day. I’ve never laughed so much and haven’t wanted to put a book down. This is definitely a book that I would recommend.
Luther Essay James M. Kittelson did an excellent job portraying Luther’s whole life in a very orderly fashion and in excellent detail, both the good things that happened in Martin Luther’s life, but also some of the bad things that not the average school teaches during Reformation. The exact ordering of everything that took place is in this book is impeccable. The way Kittelson added the little headings on almost every other page made this book a very easy read. The headings alone are a series of accurate accounts that happened in Luther’s Life. There was usually always at least one reference note in every section, which makes me believe that Kittelson really took his time when writing this book.
