Views of Life Rochester Adams, a large public school located in southeast Michigan. With approximately 1,700 students and a graduating class of 407, it was very easy to blend in. This was not the case for me. With half of the student body viewing me as the preppy jock asshole and the other half viewing me as the weird kid, I was misread greatly. With more students judging me without actually getting to know me, it made my high school experience an interesting one. I cannot blame the other students for their misinterpretation of me because I also misread students. With three more years of high school left before I graduated, I would certainly try not to be misread and misread others. I was just like every other high school student trying to fit in and be accepted by my peers. While attending school I did my best to blend in, which was easier said than done. I played sports for the school which for some obscene reason automatically made me an asshole in half of the student bodies’ eyes. Those opinions of me could not be more wrong. Another way I was judged by others students was due to the clothes I wore. I had many different clothing styles in high school. I wore everything from polos, basketball shorts, sweats, and even my colorful attire. Due to the fact I wore polos some days with plaid shorts I was “preppy.” The clothes one wore in school defined who you were. On other days I would wear my very colorful items. These clothes no one else would dare to wear to school which made me stand out. I was now also considered the “weird kid” for wearing such items. I possibly attended the most stereotypical high school of all time. My own style did not matter in the immature opinions of my peers. Like one day I wore a pair of Wayfarer sunglasses. They were retro looking and were very popular in the 1980s. These sunglasses were black with bright green frames. I thought
