The people in the meeting concluded that the slavery is “both impolitic and unjust.” Hochschild also added that the aftermath of the meeting marks the first time they saw that large number of people in “one country” becomes “outraged” for many years and not in one country but also from other parts of the world. On their way the encountered a ship full of Barbary pirates, a North African Muslim based crew. The Pirates jumped over and boarded the American shipped with weapons, forcing the Americans to strip to shirts and draws. American Holocaust: Columbus and the Conquest of the New World The inhumane and sadistic behavior of Columbus’ men was influenced by both the inherent violence in European society of their time and the opportunity to subject a race of people they thought to be inferior to their control. During Columbus’ lifetime Europe was governed by fanatical religious Christians and greedy rulers who’s main concern was to acquire as much gold and wealth as possible. Slave trade was a popular business at this time. Men, women, and children were captured during raids on tribes throughout Africa and forced into slavery. The Spanish Inquisition occurred at this time as well, in which people that didn’t convert to Catholicism were tortured and killed or put into slavery.
Christopher Columbus (fig.1) sailed the ocean blue in the year 1492. This was done as a search for a shorter route to reach the east. Instead he re-discovered the large mass of land present on the western hemisphere (fig.2). This land was populated by various tribes and groups of indigenous people. The arrival of Columbus and other Europeans wreaked havoc and caused many detrimental effects on the lives of the present population during the sixteenth century.

The black communities of large Brazilian cities have been heavily influenced by black culture in the United States but only here in the city of São Paulo, did a rare cultural phenomenon occur between the two countries. To understand this we must first go back in time … Historically, Brazil was the last country in the Americas to end slavery. This happened in 1888. But the great struggle against slavery took place on November 20, 1695 when a black man, Zumbi, our hero, fought to the death alongside hundreds of men and women for the end of slavery and for equal rights. To destroy the “Quilombo dos Palmares” (the mountains where blacks fled), Portugal was forced to mobilize its colonial army and a strong armament.
Task Three The natural attributions of God are sovereign, eternal, immutable, all-powerful, all-knowing and the so forth. The moral attributions of God are love, holy, grace, faithful, good and something else. God is all-knowing. He knows what happened in the past, and what’s happening now, to understand how to create our version of the future. Therefore, God used his wise to insight everything, in order to keep a stable life for the ancient Chinese people.
Also, the Europeans developed benevolent treatment towards slaves to prolong their health and ensure their survival in order to increase margins of profit. The African slave trade began in 1444 when the first successful shipment of slaves was transported from West Africa to Portugal. The beginning of the slave trade proved to be uncivilized and inefficient. The Portuguese captains evoked nothing but fear upon their arrival, and barbarically “killed and seized as many as they could.” (Document 1, pg 7) To avoid being captured, some Africans resorted to suicide by drowning themselves in the water. The Portuguese had captured 165 Africans, including women and children.

Christian pluralism is the belief that all other religions are all true ways to God, as well as Christianity, with the exception of Jesus Christ being the only way.
I tend to naturally take lead and run with projects successfully, my gift of administration allows me to do this and do a good job. I have to remember that I can bring ideas and be part of the team but most likely my husband who works there now will lead the project again. The evangelism gift is precious but I have to remember to be patient and not rush people into making a decision about Jesus, but to show them how worthy He is, His love for them. PART THREE: What were
