Our business construct is a group of individual, work-at-home customer service agents that are independent contractors. They provide superior customer service to a diverse range of clients from computer companies, internet sites, telecommunications, resort management and electric utilities. Our class text further illustrates the mission statement: "Mission Statements are a concise statement of what the company stands for, who they service and what the company does for their customers" (Abraham, 2012, Para 2.1)." Matching the current client needs in an ever changing marketplace is difficult and not an exact science. The clients for our customers change not only seasonally due to market pressures but also daily, due to volume of demand for customer service agents.
This would mean employees would not have titles and instead of reporting to a boss, they would report to each other by means of open communication regarding the commitments that each of them makes regarding their work. The position of Vice President and Manager would be eliminated. Instead of being accountable to and reporting to just one boss, all employees would be accountable to each other. Every employee will write a personal mission statement that outlines how they will contribute to BladeTech’s goal of providing valuable tech services to customers. It is this mission statement that becomes that becomes the boss and drives them to fulfill their mission.

Tanglewood continuously needs to hire an exceedingly large number of associates, partially due to the policy of all employees working as store associates and promoting from within, and because of the high turnover rate in retail. I recommend using what appears to be open recruiting methods, but then filtering though the applications to find applicants with the desired KSAO's. This will also aid the organization in maintaining their EOE status, by allowing anyone to apply. The recruitment methods to be used can be advertising in local and regional newspapers, radio, and television, posting opening to the company website, employee referrals, job agency, and in-store kiosks. Tanglewood should do away with paper applications.
Management vs Leadership Tonia Lowman HCS/514 September 14, 2015 Mr. Steven Bonell Introduction Hello Nicole, I am emailing you to explain the question asked in the office meeting this morning. Many people are confused on what management and leadership involve. Management is a universal thought since its principles and techniques are used all over the world, regardless of their level of development. When looking at leadership, it is a vital part of management and carries an important role in managerial functions. It is the aptitude to establish principles and values as well as supervise a creative environment where everyone is self-motivated towards achieving long-term productive goals.
I believe the team at Communispace would truly care about developing a launch for the brand. As the text states, the company is “purpose driven, not profile drive.” It would make me more comfortable knowing Communispace had a deep commitment to the brand rather than just trying to build a portfolio book. 2.
b) Only printing what is necessary, maybe emailing rather than printing and sending paper. | 13. | Identify different types of meetings in a business context, including a full description of two of those types. | | Team MeetingThese meetings are held on a regular basis, probably monthly and are aimed at getting members of a team together, who work within the same area of a business. Effective communication means a message is sent to a receiver without any distortions in its meaning. This applies not only to personal communication among friends but to a business where you have to communicate with a coworker individually or in a team meeting. Having a lattice with self-managed teams is how Gore achieved cross-business fit across its diverse product range. Gore conceived of the company as a “lattice” connecting every individual in the organisation to every other. At Gore, there would be no layers of management, information would flow freely in all directions, and personal communications would be normality. And individuals and self-managed teams go directly to anyone in the organisation to get what they needed to be successful. As Gore has grown, it has imposed some structure: the CEO, four major divisions, a number of product-focused business units, and the usual business support functions, each with a recognised leader.
