• What are the advantages of having diversity in a collaborative learning environment?
I think the advantages of have a diversity in a collaboration learning environment is that
you have people from different back rounds, and when you have people from different back
rounds you will get a completely different prospective from that individual. It can allow you to think
more openly and not just get an idea in your head and stick to it. I know from me personally I
work with a very diverse group of people and you can get some real interesting conversations
going I can only imagine what a learning environment would bring up.
• How might factors such as diversity, attitude, learning, and work styles affect collaboration?
I think that diversity does not really affect collaboration unless people are just immature.
Just because someone is different then you should not affect what work does and does not get
done. On the other hand I do think that attitude, learning, and work styles could affect
collaboration because if anyone has a bad attitude in the group they will most likely not listen to
anyone’s ideas and be negative all day. I also think that a person learning ties into their work
styles because someone can be taught a different way and that is the way that they work and one
person might be upset about that. It only takes one person to get upset to get a group to go
• How does personal responsibility influence the work and success of a group?
I think that personal responsibility influences your work and a success of a group
dramatically because if you have really no responsibility for yourself, why all the sudden would it
changes for a group? It really comes down to being disciplined and being able to put the team’s
needs over your own...
