Automobile was invented more than a hundred years ago. From the very beginning it became one of the fanciest things at that time. People were fascinated and every man dreamed to own such vehicle. Of course it was so expensive that only the richest part of society had enough money to buy one. Before considering whether the automobile has or hasn’t been harmful let’s look at the subject from different points of view. On one hand automobile is very powerful tool in our hands. Our communication is based on it. We use cars every day to go to schools, works, and shops or just to have a fun from driving it. We don’t even wonder how we could live without it. We got used to it so much that for some of us it would be difficult to leave the house if we couldn’t drive. We use cars in every place in the world and we even designed a special vehicle to move ourselves, when we landed on the moon. In addition, cars help us rescue our life when we have to rush to the hospital. Police also use cars to prevent crimes or robberies; we always expect them to be in time when we need their help. Furthermore, car business has become a huge part of our world industry. Factories, manufacturing companies, dealers, services give jobs for millions of people in the world. Thanks to them our economy has grown and can’t exist without it anymore. In every civilized country this is one of the most important industry branches. World cars market in Third World Countries expands rapidly what increases production and gives more jobs to people. On the other hand, automobiles are very harmful for our society because they cause air pollution and noise. An especially in large city, where quantity of cars is the highest, this problem is very painful. Also many cities don’t know how to solve traffic jam problem.
