I can attest to this definition and characteristics of myself. I tend to find myself very direct that I had to learn how to put a filter before I speak bluntly. When seeking employment I find myself seeking leadership and management positions. Many times I find being overly confident in certain situations and wanting to take control of the situation. Of course management is always communicating through the proper chain of command and then training the staff under them as to the changes that are occurring and providing reason behind the changes. We are always recruiting for people that are a good fit in our culture, but to be honest as long as someone can smile and make eye contact, the rest can be taught as it’s considered a cultural behavior. Of course, right now I have one that hasn’t been able to perform for quite some time, even though he follows the behaviors, he isn’t self-motivated enough to accomplish it all. There would defiantly be a recommendation that this individual participate in group sessions and it wouldn’t hurt to have one on one individual help. The leader must be part of the team he or she is leading. Leaders have to listen to the team’s opinions and ideas and analyze the situation prior to make any decision because the leader’s decisions affect the entire team as well as each of the team members. The leader must always think about the most good for the most people while still working toward a common goal.
They form bonds as a group together rather than being forced together. They want to succeed for the whole group as it is a morale boost for everyone to do well and improve cohesiveness. That is my main function within the group, to facilitate the day-to-day actions of the other members. If something needs to get done, I assign a member that task and then follow up until completion. The only draw back so far is my aggressive attitude towards mission accomplishment has caused some of the other members to recent my approach. I do not always ask for things in a nice way, I think being direct is the quickest way to get something completed. The biggest affect that it has on the group is slowing down the amount of work that was getting completed.
The problem now, is that people feel too much of themselves. Everyone wants to be independent and an individual but they have to see that one day they’re going to need assistance from someone else. We would rather criticize and attack instead of rationally discussing our differences of opinion. We see this every day in our culture. Our community as a whole loves to be argumentative.
It says that I care about safety and security of people I love, such as family members, friends and others. It is very true since I would love to get things done as much as possible for them, and make sure that everything runs smoothly in their daily lives. I would spend my whole day doing things for a person without the need of anything in return. Even though I make myself feel that I am stupid, I always want to do over and over again for people in order to help them whenever they need me. I love to take responsibility when people can rely on me; thus whenever I could not accomplish it, I blame it on myself.
