So gun control is not the answer to the problem. Law Enforcement needs to crack down on criminals and the illegal sales of firearms to help elevate the problems with the death or homicide rate. The normal everyday work class people do not need to be punished for the acts of criminals and drug dealers. If gun control were to take effect and guns were outlawed it would still not solve the problem at hand. It wouldn’t solve the problems because only the outlaws
When someone thinks of the word “handgun” their minds will automatically think of something small, concealable, and deadly. What some people do not realize is that it is not handguns that commit the crime, but the hands and actions of the criminal. Allowing handguns to remain legal will allow individuals to feel safer and secure in their homes and it also protects our constitutional right to bear arms. Banning handguns will not only increase crime, but it will create a new situation that is similar to drug trafficking. With rising crime rates, law abiding citizens should be buying handguns to protect themselves.
It sounds confusing but when people see a man with a gun, no matter what side of the law he is on, they will get intimidated and possibly fear him. Taking away this gun will give that man less power, but he will also gain the people’s respect. For a society with police and people to coexist peacefully without conflict, weapons should not be involved. This way, less crime will occur and police will be respected more. A real life example of this perfect world is England today.
This scenario happens too often in the United States. America’s youth is unable to cope with difficulties in their lives and subsequently they are able to acquire a firearm and shoot fellow classmates in schools across the country. If students were unable to obtain a firearm due to stricter gun control laws, then the school shootings would seize to happen. However, in the present day United States, people seem to be able to obtain a firearm easier than obtaining a car on a car lot. Every day eight American children and teenagers die from gun violence.
Children should not be afraid to go to school, and they should not be questioning their safety. Guns are used in robbery, theft, muggings, and rape. I know that these things would still go on without guns but at least the victim has a better chance of getting away. People are threatened with guns all the time to give up your belongings with the risk of losing your life if you don’t corporate. We don’t need to go through this.
People believe by putting gun control into action it would put people in harms way. This is because they believe creating gun control laws would ban all guns, not allowing people to have self-defense weapons. However, that is not the case because gun control would just limit the amount and kind of guns people would be allowed to own. Gun control laws might help keep communities safe from the tragedies of mass
If parents correct their children, then the children learn right from wrong. Golden’s and Shaffer’s views that toy weapons present violence are alike because they share a similar attitude towards violence. The authors believe that it is wrong to let children play with toy weapons at such an early age. Toy weapons teach them that violence solves problems, and it is the parents’ responsibility to teach their children their values in regards to violence. Another view that Golden’s and Shaffer’s articles share relates toy weapons to death.
Grown adult should know the hazards and dangers for their kids. Toy guns are the first step to be addicted to violence. When a child gets to his/her teenage years, he/she will most likely have an interest towards shooting games if toy guns or “semi-inappropriate” toys are given to the kid at a young age. According to researches, it has been proven that shooting games can have a serious impact on a person’s emotions. When a player gets addicted to a game, that player would lose control of what’s important.
Gun Violence is a problem in the United States as well as in our community. So now we need to find a way to control gun violence. Guns themselves, however, are not the case of the violence, and gun control will do nothing to decrease violent crimes. People who decide to kill will find a way to kill even if they do not have access to guns. Therefore, guns cannot be singled out and blamed for all of gun control.
Gun control in the US Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Many are in the belief that by making more laws of which the use of firearms will be stricter, the killings due of the use won’t be much less because as the statement says, people kill people, not the guns. They blame it on the society, video games, violent movies and toy guns. Some even says that they need more guns. They say this and they defend it with the statement that if they are threatened with a gun they can defend themselves if they have a gun themselves.
