Growth strategy for Argos 1. Introduction: Acting as a consultancy company, we have compiled a report for Argos in terms of growth strategies, more specifically the potential of providing its internet service to the French market. We shall look at the strengths and weaknesses of Argos as a brand as well as the opportunities and threats beyond the control of Argos created by the French market place. With our findings we will make recommendations as to whether we feel the implementation of the strategy will be feasible and successful. 2. Procedure: To compile our data for the analysis of Argos and feasibility of the strategy, we have created a SWOT analysis. For our research we used primary and secondary techniques. In terms of primary techniques we had been in contact with Lauren Smith from Argos Spain enquiries. She had given us information with regards to EU delivery restrictions and their limited product offering in Spain. We felt that this information would help us in making decision with regards to the implementation of our strategy. However we were disappointed with the limited information she had given us. Conversations can be seen in appendix.1. In terms of secondary research we used the Argos websites and company profiles. Additionally we used information from the IMF, Eurostat, INED and competitors websites to aid in our analysis. 3. Findings: (the main body of your report, clearly structured) In order to evaluate the feasibility for Argos to enter the proposed market, providing its service in France, we felt it necessary to identify as well as asses the strengths of Argos as a brand. It is of equal importance to ascertain and examine any weakness that Argos may possess that could threaten the success of potential entry in to the French market. By identifying the weakness we believe it may possible to resolve them where possible. 3.1.
