Gatling Machine Gun Research Paper

This research paper will explore and investigate the development and advancement of the Gatling Machine gun from the time period between 1865 and 1890. Also to be included in the investigation, are the new types of tactics that were created and introduced to help the utilize this new weapon. This paper will show that while the firearms technology advanced, the tactics surrounding the implementation of this new weapon were lacking, caused by general maintenance issues, and certain military official reluctance to use these large unconventional weapons for the time.
