Her parents never realized that after every meal Rachel would secretly go to the bathroom upstairs and throw up everything she had eaten. Her father would beat her up and treat her like trash and her mother would just stand there and not say a word because she was weak and always did as Rachel’s dad said. In her kindergarten class, Rachel treated all the other little girls with rudeness, anger, and jealousy towards anyone who was better than her. She often spent her days in the principal’s office because of her strong character and misbehaviors. Rachel grew up, went through her dating stage, and then finally met a wonderful man that she could not picture herself without; a caring, positive, supportive husband that goes by the name of Tim.

Summary of Their Eyes were watching God The book starts with Janie walking back to her home in Eatonville after running off with a younger man named tea cake. When she returns she hears everybody talking about her than her friend Pheoby rushes over to ask her where have she been in she tells Pheoby her life story. She tells pheoby that she was raised by her grandmother that she called nanny. Janie’s grandmother was a slave who became pregnant by her owner who is Janie mother who named is Leafy. Leafy was raped by her school teacher and she became pregnant with Janie.
Theater Response Paper: Actors The play that I went to see at 59E59 Theaters was called Gidion’s Knot by Johnna Adams. The play depicted a parent/teacher conference between a mother and her son’s teacher. The mother, Corryn, still wanted an explanation as to why her son, Gidion, was suspended from his fifth grade class even though he committed suicide a few days prior to the conference. Gidion’s teacher, Heather, is apprehensive about telling Corryn why Gidion was suspended without the principal and the school board attorney being present. The play was heart-wrenching yet enjoyable because of the hard work done by the actors and detailed technical aspects.

Mise 1 An Epidemic of Single Household and Blended Families As she prepares for yet another math exam within a 2 week period, she can’t help but to think about the problem facing her at home instead of math. The thought of failing the exam is the least bit of her worries because she’s constantly thinking about how she feels like a stranger in her new home. Since her transfer from California to New York, her life for her and her 10 year old brother has been like a rollercoaster. She is a young Catholic girl who attends Catholic school where she feels students get treated unfairly due to their class. She is a tomboy heroin addict who has many family issues. She encountered sexual activities at an early age and had many different jobs. Throughout the course of the novel she states how she wants to be an astronaut but instead she becomes a poet.
