Roman Empire Although both of the Empires fell, the Western Roman Empire did not fall completely, the Han Empire fell where it could not be revived and the Western Roman Empire fell, but it was able to be revived, also both empires fell because they both did not have a strong social structure. The Roman Western Empire fell because Attila, who was the leader, did not create a set of political institutions, or a state structure. There was not enough organization for the Empire to last. When Attila passed away, everything crashed from there. When he died, no one knew what to do. The Empire fell because they didn’t have a ‘replacement’ leader. If there were a replacement leader, there were chances that the Western Roman Empire would have revived from the fall. Around 6 CE, a two-year-old boy inherited the Han Empire. The young child wasn’t able to govern, so Wang Mang decided to serve instead of the boy. Then around 9 CE, Wang Mang announced that the Mandate of Heaven passed from the Han Empire, to his family. That caused the former Han dynasty to fall, but after about two years, the Han recovered. Although the former Han was able to recover, the later Han Empire was not able to recover. The Later Han emperors were unable to prevent the development of factions at court, which paralyzed the central government. People started to develop their own laws and no one agreed with each other. After that everyone was at war with themselves, within the empire. When everyone was at war with themselves, the Empire had found it’s internal weakness.
