Many of these homeless individuals may have had a pre existing substance abuse problem and became homeless because family members were no longer willing to enable self-destructive behavior. In a case like this, the individual essentially chooses to be homeless instead of obtaining assistance for his or her substance abuse issues. Another example of using critical thinking to understand the cause of an issue can be made by trying to understand mental illness among the homeless population. An inference can be made that mentally ill individuals become homeless as a result of his or her inability to provide a stable environment for his or herself. Family background can effect a child's development by the family's values the culture and the way the child is encouraged and cared for all can effect the child development. The child environment can effect the development of the child e.g. Housing condition , opportunities for play and educational. Poverty and deprivation can affect the child's development because Lack of money can lead to poor nutrition and lack of opportunity and also lower expectations. Children and young people in the care system are more vulnerable,often due to the lack of stability and attachment disorder this can affect their emotional ,social and academic development.
Excluded young people are more likely to suffer social and educational disadvantages. This includes all forms of abuse, frequently moving homes, domestic violence, bereavement and homelessness. Young People risks their health through smoking, drug and alcohol use, unsafe sex and becoming parents in their teens. The community they live in is also a factor on their wellbeing. Wellbeing including a sense of safety and stability with positive interaction and community involvement.
Sometimes people with jobs are one tragedy away from being homeless. Homelessness is very stressful, causing many problems such as depression, low self-esteem, and drug and alcohol abuse. Everyone is different and responds to homelessness in different ways. Children who have to deal with extreme poverty and homelessness might have trouble learning, emotional and physical problems, and bad behavior to name a few. Children find this confusing and upsetting.

As a result the children’s education may become affected and they may be below their expected class average. This will have caused from poor concentration, the child may also need specific help in their work and class before any sort of progress can be made.
I think that long test and other guidelines that are drawn out does interfere with the homeless want and need to seek help. If barriers were lower and the standards were lower more homeless people who seek help and want to get their alcohol problem under control. Not all the homeless want or need help but there r a lot of them that is a afraid of the outcomes that comes along with seeking help from housing agencies and government programs. If a person has a reason to do better they will at least try. The studies showed that if the barriers were lower more homeless would want to and will go to housing agencies for help instead of living on the streets.
This value is defined by the idea of putting others before you. With this being the most important goal, there should be more of a focus on getting help to families who are lacking basic needs like food and shelter, which is what the main welfare programs provide. The main issue here is that many of the families seeking welfare have children whose interests are of greatest importance. If people are denied assistance due to drug use, their children suffer. In the instance that a mother is abusing drugs and applying for welfare, she probably isn’t adequately caring for her children in the first place due to the drug usage.
For one, they have to learn how to adapt to life on the outside of the military and finding a suitable job. Combat veterans can also have many challenges like adapting to life outside of combat, both physically and mentally. Human services can direct veterans with disabilities to the appropriate assistance to help them deal with daily life outside of the military. Along with financial problems, addictions, child and family care and veteran help there is helping clients who are homeless meet their needs. Human services assist those who are homeless with finding either a homeless shelter or permenant home.
