I believe that teaching reading and writing begins with helping children want the life of a reader and writer. In order to accomplish this goal of developing lifelong readers and writers, I believe it is my responsibility to keep learning about proven research-based literacy programs. I believe that even in Tier I literacy instruction the teacher has the responsibility to differentiate instruction so that the vast array of learning styles and abilities present in the classroom will be nurtured. I believe that the most important part of literacy instruction, whether it be reading or writing, is communication. In reading, the communication is accomplished with strong comprehension skills that involve active participation of the reader as he interacts with the author to create meaning for himself.
PTTLS: Explain ways to embed elements of Functional Skills in your specialist area The first important consideration for me will be to ensure that my own Functional Skills are good and that I am fully up to date with advances in IT. Literacy Acupuncture students are working at degree level and will have to read, research and submit referenced theses. Their work will be checked for fluency, spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax. Speaking, listening and responding are equally important literacy skills. They are also essential for acupuncturists so the course is filled with exercises designed to develop them.

The conventions of college writing are very complex and if professors are more helpful and patient with first year students as they learn academic discourse, students will be better prepared for all future academic endeavors and they will have a better opportunity to strengthen and develop their voice. My Problem When Learning English Studying is important thing in my life. As a student, I always study in order to I can reach my dream in the future. English is important things that must be mastered in the modern world. We can not deny that. If we want to be successful in our study or in our job, we must master it.
My skills in reflecting on my own work have developed and I set myself daily targets, ensuring I meet them. The staff that I have worked with at both of my placements have been motivational. The English departments constantly endeavour to be better, to achieve more and to support each other. I have modelled myself on the good practice I have seen around me consulting with other members of staff to discover the best ways in which I can support students. I am interested in working in a dynamic, forward thinking and inspiring environment and I believe NCHS School would provide that.
Completing my homework without procrastinating and using my resources such as my teachers when I need help are methods I use to accomplish this short term goal. I am eager to attain my Bachelor's Degree (hopefully by 2015) and am planning to continue here at pcc for my associate degree. One of the driving motivations of my education is my children. I want them to see that it is possible to go beyond what one has, to grasp what could be. I want to finish not only my Bachelor's, but my Masters degree for myself, for them, and for the people I hope to work with I have always tried to set clear targets and reach them whatever happens.
I hope that my students use the skills that they learn in my classroom so I can help them progress their skills more. This teaching style is classified as constructivist demonstrator or personal model. It can also be classified as constructivist philosophy, as it is a very practical method of teaching. I also intend to use other teaching methods, although I intend to maximize those that I am already knowledgeable
I believe I am an exceptional candidate for this program. I am mentally prepared for this. AP history will help me strengthen my writing skills, which I will use time and again throughout life. Additionally gaining a better understanding of university level course work is important for my growth. The first and most obvious benefit is the GPA factor of AP classes.
