Care UK will ensure that my personal info is kept securely and will not disclose this information as according to the Data Protection Act 1998. My employment was subject to a 6 months’ probation, and at any time the employment may be terminated or at the end of the probationary period of four weeks prior written notice. The employee will receive an acknowledgment of receipt by the manager within five working days, inviting them to a grievance meeting. The grievance meeting will take place within 14 days of the written acknowledgement. At the meeting the employee will be asked to explain the nature of the complaint and what actions should be done to solve the matter. Stage 2; If the employee is still aggrieved, they may write to a nominated manager within five working days of the date of the decision under stage 1, exercising their right to appeal. This will need to be passed to a more senior manager. The manager hearing the appeal will have had no prior involvement in the case. After the grievance meeting, the line manager will conduct an investigation, and will gather evidence and interview witnesses the appeal decision will be given in writing within ten working days of the interview.
