The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money. By going to college, you will have the hands-on learning education you need to start your chosen career. This is a huge reason why a lot of careers require you to have at least a two or four year degree. Another reason why college matters is because it helps students boost their confidence level out in the real world. There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is.
Taking that first step in earning your degree will open the door of opportunity to you in ways that will increase your potential in landing a great job in the field of preferred study. Many employers prefer hiring someone with a college degree of some sort, some employers even require than every candidate have at least an associates degree. For example, if an employer has a choice of two candidates with equal experience and skill but one has a degree and the other doesn’t, the employer will most likely choose the person with a college degree. The benefits of a college degree increase the higher your degree is. Because some employers require candidates have a degree, getting an associates degree will open many doors.
I quickly began to attend college classes through my employer to make gains in my career and try to possibly secure my future. I had no idea until this point the many advantages that college was going to provide for me if I allowed it to. Continuing on in the job I had accepted it opened opportunities to study courses to get me promoted and increase my wages which bettered my lifestyle for me and my family and made things easier. I had finally found a job that I was happy in and chances to increase my thirst for knowledge as I could continue my education as long as I wanted. I finally had self- confidence and the drive to make the most of my career as I neared completion of Banker’s College.
Effects of going to College. College in general has a big impact on our life and careers. I do think that its important you go to a post secondary school that has the required prerequisites for your field of education, and that has the ability to challenge you. What's more important is that you take the advantage of opportunities at any college that you choose to go to. The importance of getting a college education makes a person strong and more confident about them selfs.
Adults returning to college will have the benefit of increased self-esteem, the ability to change professions, and future opportunities for advancement in their current careers. On the other hand, we have Linda Lee’s essay “The Case Against College” explaining that college is not for everyone. Students in high school that choose not to apply themselves should not attend college. These students may not be ready for the heavy course work, the expenses, or the dedication of time needed to earn their degree. Although both authors prove strong points it is obvious that whether your choice is college or trade school, as long as you apply yourself you will be guaranteed future success.
It increases my ability to do something and gives me more opportunities. Completing college to get a degree will give me a strong sense of pride and self, having the degree will better my confidence and it will single me out from the ones who don’t own one. The pros of education far exceed the cons. It is important for one to have an education for my own satisfaction, as well as better job opportunities and it is a good investment for my future. I am currently enrolled in online college and I am pushing myself to stay focused.
Chapter 1 In Chapter 1 the book talks about the college experience. It goes into different details about settling into a college routine, talks about why college is important and many other new things that come with college. It explains that college isn’t all about sports and partying that as young adults we have that image of college in our head. College is another step in education, and in today’s society having a college degree is very important when trying to get a high paying job. Both of these two universities offer a great student to teacher ratio and either one would be a great choice for a student wanting to further their education. Both colleges believe in doing whatever it takes to make sure that the student has the greatest chance at success. Most people surely would be enthusiastic to start their life after high school knowing they’ve done their best in order to be able to attend the college or university of their choice. A high school student passes their high school years working hard to earn their grades and G.P.A in order to have a successful high school life. Most students work hard throughout high school knowing what college or university they would like to attend once they graduate.
