My Boss, L.J. Watkins, wants to cut cost because of increased competition from another firm and some changes have already been made. It’s a nightmare. For those that are living in poverty, but still put in over forty hours of work a week, the American Dream is a haunting reminder of how others get to enjoy their money. The working poor only get to struggle to maintain enough money to get through each day. There is no planning a vacation off of minimum wage, no such thing as a good or even a proper education. For those that live in poverty, working hard to achieve a goal means to work as much as you can so you can have electricity for the month or a decent meal.
A lot of people may view professional development as being a chore, a requirement of the job or maybe they feel that with the everyday tasks they already have to complete for their job they just don’t have the time to take on anything extra. To be a successful manager or supervisor, you have to understand that you can’t teach your employee’s to be motivated, but you have to create an environment that encourages and promotes employee motivation. Limitations include the fact that you cannot choose the doctor you wish to go to. That is one thing that having health care given to you limits.
