This area is one of the densest concentrations of sea birds anywhere in the whole world. Even a small amount of oil can cause death in many of these animals because they can die from ingesting the toxic material, and lose their insulation when they are contaminated with oil. In 2004, two mechanical failures led to the loss
Indiana Bats are a rare species and is listed on the Ohio state and federal endangered list. They were placed on the federal list in 1967 due to people disturbing hibernating bats in caves and the killing large numbers of bat. Also the commercialization of caves, loss of summer habitat, pesticides, and the disease white-nose syndrome (US fish and wildlife service, 2013). Some animals cannot adapt to change because of that they slowly die away as to their habitat humans gets smaller and more people mess around the caves. The extinction of animals will cause more of what they eat this can affect humans by more humans being bite by mosquitoes.
What are the 5 most common causes of extinction? -Destruction of habitat for development and to obtain lumber, minerals, oil, and other products. -Introduction of exotic species into new habitats -Pollution -Overuse of animals and plants through collecting, hunting, or poaching
The poisons will kill fish and the reef in which the fish live because there is no precise way to deliver it. The fishermen will dump the poison on the water in a likely spot and catch what floats up. The problem with poison is that it does not choose what it kills, so it kills reefs and poisons the area for new generations, then the fishermen go on to another area to repeat the destruction. [ (Coral Reef Destruction and Coversation) ] 2. Red is the endangered areas In image 2, the most endangered reefs are in areas that are considered “Third World”, where populations have limited access to education.
Tiger’s actions off of the golf course were scandalous and hurt every company that sponsored him. These companies are large corporations who employed thousands of people and have an obligation to their employees and investors to profit and grow. Dismissing Tiger Woods as an endorser served the greater good of the companies by protecting the image of the companies. Although some people in our society may want to emulate the new image of Tiger Woods, the vast majorities of people in the world looks down on, and are offended, by his conduct off of the golf course. By dismissing Tiger, the corporations took a moral stand that told the public that they would not accept and condone this type of behavior.
There are four things that the elephant did in the bazaar that greatly effected the community. It started with a hut being destroyed. Then the elephant killed a cow and ate their fruit. Yet I think the worst part is the natural resources like trees that will be cut down to make room for the machinery and drilling as many of those have been there for years. Along with the trees and forest come the wildlife animals that have their home in the forest and depend on trees to survive. All these not to include the pollution that comes from all these machines and work that will be done in the
They slept and ate in uncomfortable communes, deliberately chosen to be as far as possible from their old homes. As an effect of the genocide, many personal relationships were discouraged. Laborers became ill from overwork and starvation for which there was no other treatment except death. In 1978 Vietnam invaded Kampuchea and overthrew the Khmer Rouge. The guerillas were driven into the western jungles and beyond to Thailand (www.ppu.org.uk 3).
In 1605-1612, the colonists experienced the longest drought (Doc B). Because of the lack of rain, they weren’t able to grow crops (Doc B). The seasons also caused diseases to spread (Doc E). The occupations of the colonists contributed to the colonist dying. They brought gentlemen, rich men that didn’t work with their hands, and they wanted other people to build their houses and hunt for their food (Doc C).
In the last decade, there have been numerous cases of stampeding elephants in Africa that are destroying villages. In some cases these elephants are engaging in intercourse with rhinos. This postulate derives from the slaughter of the elder male elephants being continuously hunted. As a result, male calves are acting out of their innate instinct because the elders have been massacred. If the natural order of nature is forsaken, the next generation of people will study the bones of the extinct elephant.
