They viewed King James as Pharaoh, themselves as the Children of Israel, and the New World as the Promised Land. But if the sailing of the Mayflower was their exodus, the signing of the Mayflower Compact was their Sinai. Moses was not only a liberator, he was a lawgiver.
It can be seen as the first humane law ever created to protect classes of Babylonian society. However, in the epilogue, he mentioned that he is he had been called by the gods "to cause justice to prevail in the land, to destroy the wicked and the evil." As mentioned above, Hammurabi saw himself as the king of righteousness. Therefore, he expected every citizen to see him as a figurine of God from Heaven. Almost as if he is the God dictates “The great gods proclaimed me and I am the guardian governor, whose scepter is righteous and whose beneficent protection is spread over my city…” One can say that Hammurabi is an extremely religious man who used religion to rule his kingdom.
Religious Tradition Study-Judaism From the beginning of the revelation of Abraham to the entire present world religion, the development and expression of Judaism has been influenced through the contribution of Isaiah. Isaiah aimed to correct the social, political and organisational problems by warning the people about their ignorant attitude towards the rightful ethical behaviour and the consequences that would arise. Isaiah successfully contributed to the religion of Judaism through faithfully carrying out his commission as a prophet and prophesying both political and social changes. Isaiah lived his belief trying to reflect his actions with his behaviour, motivating other Jewish believers to follow his model of greatness, truth and faith.
Abrahamic Covenant Chart In Genesis 12 we find the first instance and introduction of the Covenant established by God and Abraham. It is here that God favors Abraham by pledging to make him a great nation, to bless him, and to make his name great. Form this passage through the following chapters in the Book of Genesis we observe the authenticity of the promise. Also, from this passage on throughout the Book of Genesis, we find that the promise is often challenged, yet it remained secure and unconditional. At first glance, one may doubt the fulfillment of the promise due to unfavorable occurrences.

Some scholars have credited Akhenaten with the invention of monotheism—the belief in one exclusive god. It is likely, however, that Akhenaten was attempting to reassert the superiority of the king over the priests and to renew belief in the king’s divinity. Worship of Aten was confined to the royal family: the people of Egypt were pressed to revere the divine ruler. Akhenaten built a new capital at modern-day Amarna˚, halfway between Memphis and Thebes (see Map 3.1). He transplanted thousands of Egyptians to construct the site and serve the ruling elite.

The people of the Sassanian empire worshipped the sun-god, Ahura Mazda, and followed the teachings of an ancient philosopher, Zoroaster. Islam grew and spread rapidly east and west from Arabia to become a powerful rival to Christendon.
