Cure for boredom Dorothy Parker once said “The cure for boredom is curiosity”. Who wants to be bored? None of us do; so that’s when curiosity kicks in. Being curious could lead to many different topics and ideas, basically anything you can think of doing that pops up in your head when you are bored. This quote tells people that when people get bored they will do stuff that they necessarily don’t like, but just something to do to take up time. Being curious about many things has a good side and bad side, the bad side when people have so much time on their hands and start realizing how boring life is they go to drugs having the curiosity it could help them or make them feel better or cooler. When you are really bored do you think of the coolest things or some type of inventions? Well I do, that’s where I get most of my ideas to keep my busy with things. Most people would agree they do the same I’m guessing too. People get the feeling of I might as well do this since I have nothing else to do or why not, there’s nothing going on. Being bored is honestly one of the most miserable feelings on this earth, and everyday people try to avoid it buy fulfilling it with some activity they like. For an example a pregnant lady cannot work and has to sit home all day until she gives birth, she feels really bored and gets up and goes for a walk, watches TV, or even go out to eat. This is where curiosity comes in play, curing the feeling of boredom. Having curiosity has a good factor on most people’s account but also leads to many bad things in other people’s life. Overall I feel when you are bored, have curiosity and do whatever your mind feels like doing. Personally I hate being bored; it feels like the biggest waste of what you could have been.
