Mitchell Heyne Composition 2 January 7, 2014 Unit 3 Assignment 1 Summary Response Paper “Wow, this isn’t a bad article” I said to myself as I was reading “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” The point of this article is that people are losing the ability to concentrate for long periods of time, especially if they have no interest in the subject. Some people see this as a mental disorder, however, this is due to people trying to look for a quick fix and not doing the thorough research. I will agree that the way people are thinking is indeed changing, some for the good, but most for the bad as well. Search engines are rerouting our memory. According to one article in Science magazine, we're not necessarily losing our ability to remember things.
Often time all communication isn’t also fun or understanding. According to “ Doodle for Dollars using sketches is a great way to break the ice sometimes. Orientations for jobs are good time to use sketching and doodling. Majority of people are shy and
One reason is that we always think that these things are not worthy to judge, another reason is that we usually do the same thing as them and we don’t like to face the dark side of ourselves. However, when we experience a lot of unfair treatment or pressure, we may become to be depressive and like to complaint or even curse, which is the hotbed for extremity and evil. Thus, he loses interest in activities that do not keep his attention. Once he sees something that looks more exciting than what he is doing, he focuses all his energy on the new activity. In this way, he is like a spoiled child who discards one toy in complete favor of another. This proclivity also reflects his distaste for hard work; most hobbies require focus, as Rat suggests during their caravan trip. Nevertheless, Toad cares only about the hobby so long as it is entertaining and easy.
Procrastination has been around as long as humankind has been existing, but the only deference is the way we are being punished. Back then people where looked at as sinners, and sloth, although; it is a negative punishment towards the results of procrastinating when it has a positive reaction as receiving a check, tax, food, and successful career. In my opinion, being a procrastinator is due to a psychological effect, due to experience as a student and an employee. Most people procrastinate because they are dealing with some type of issue or matter. (Fuschia Sirois pg35) In 2006..the university of Windsor in Ontario reported in a study of 254 adults that procrastinators had higher stress levels and more acute completed jobs in a timely manner.” This situation then affects a person’s health, creating anxiety, and stresses even more due to the facts that he or she is in a position where they have zero privacy to express themselves and from my opinion it can result in having a person becoming psychodynamic.

Some people have nervous laughs to expresses there uncomfortableness, insecure people can also be very self-sacrificing, always giving up there spot by putting others before themselves. Insecurities can turn people into dependable persons, who confide in their partners for reassurance of the relationship constantly, insecure people also have a hard time asking for favors or for help, probably too shy to ask for any help that they might
Jesus Christ you’re a crazy bastard!” “God you’re a lot of trouble” “I could get along so easy and nice if I didn’t have you on my tail. I could live so easy…” “might jus’ as well spen’ all my time tellin ‘you things…” This quote suggests that, George gets fed up of looking after Lennie all the time. He feels that he is a lot of trouble and he’s too much to handle. The last quote suggests that George has nothing better to do in life than look out for Lennie. George is very modest in the
When George and Lennie are loading up the truck with the bags of grains together she comes and tries to impress someone and notices something “Why can’t I talk to you? I never get to talk to nobody… I get awful lonely…” she says (pg.87) this shows she gets lonely when she doesn’t talk to all other people and have new people to talk to. This also relates to the theme of loneliness since she even says she is in it and also she has nothing to do really. In this part of the scene however they did have a good ending point since they sat and talked but she just goes around with no thoughts about anything. This goes back to character versus character since there are two people talking or acting with each other and it is conflict.
It's common for an individual to be unhappy with themselves. It's rare to hear of one to be content with who they are, which should be unacceptable. Although it may be difficult, if haven't already, people need to recognize their self worth. We, as a society, have grown used to hearing people put themselves down.
