Nothing could compare to the fascination I had with the Gnathia-Ware art I encountered at the museum. I decided to take a trip back to the Museum to view the piece once again. I wanted to make sure this was definitely the piece to write my essay on. The second trip back was just as wonderful as the first. I am Glad I made the trip.

NORTON SIMON MUSEUM Last Sunday, I went to field trip to the Norton Simon Museum. It is my first visit museum in The U.S., so I expected. I took my friend’s car, so it was very comfortable. When we arrived at NSM, teacher and classmates arrived at there also. The museum was very quietly, simply, and nice.
I called Petsmart and they had them in 5 different colors and 4 different sizes. Nevertheless, Petsmart is amazing for pet supplies because they have lots of brand names. My mother’s cat, Gracie, is allergic to many ingredients the cat food companies put in the food, so it took my mother some time to find the right cat food that wouldn’t make her sick. Thanks to Petsmart and their vast brand names, my mother found “Blue” cat food, which is mostly all; natural and safe for Gracie to eat. Furthermore, Petsmart’s vast selection makes it easy to find exactly what you want.
My next discovery was a mounted photograph hanging on her wall signed by her. I kept searching and discovered multiple cameras along with lens’s as well as film canisters. Therefore, she must truly enjoy photography. This caused me to become really interested as to what her major was. When I found a psychology book as well as an art history and western literature book on the desk I realized that none of the texts books led to a class that wasn’t required for the
For this tea party, Gatsby sent workers over to cut Nick’s lawn, set up flowers around his house, and bring a fine silver tea set. This was all for trying to impress Daisy so that she would come to his house, and it worked. When Daisy came to Nick’s house, she saw Gatsby’s in a distance and asked if they could all go and take a tour. She was shocked at the amount of wealth that Gatsby had, but she realized that he was considered “new money,” which would be a problem. She could tell that he had “new money,” first because of their past and her knowing his wealth did not come from his family, and second, because of where he lived.
Joshua Holmgren Art 101 12/03/2012 Art Museum Evaluation When I first learned that I would need to write an evaluation paper for class, I was less than excited. However, after spending the time in the class learning about the different styles of art, their influences and origins, I was able to enjoy my visit to the St. Louis Art Museum much more richly than I ever had in the past. I have always enjoyed visiting the Art Museum. Unfortunately, my lack of knowledge of the subject left me there simply looking at the paintings, sculptures, fabrics and exhibits without being able to see it with a critical eye, or to even truly appreciate what the artist was trying to capture in their piece. In this paper I will be sharing my thoughts
Leakey invited her to visit the museum he managed. He gave her a tour of the museum and had showed her "so many fascinating things, that it would take me pages and pages [to write them down]." (101 peterson) That same day, upon first meeting Jane, Leakey offered her a secretarial job. He later invited Jane to go along with he and Mary on their archaeological expedition to Olduvai Gorge in Tanganyika. She met Mary who extended the invite and Jane replied that she wanted "nothing else in the world more.
The entrance itself is decorated with artifacts that you would usually see in a museum such as maps and art from Native Americans. What I personally found very impressive was the huge clock in the entrance that Jefferson designed himself. This clock had a face inside the house and outside as well. It was powered by two cannonball type weights which had to be wound each Sunday. There were also hidden stairways for the slaves to enter and disappear as needed as well as dumbwaiters throughout the house to lessen the need for slaves to actually be seen.
Although it didn't contain the works of artists like van Gogh or Manet, it contained pieces of huge historical significance, especially of local significance which gives it a personal touch to a Charlestonian. My wife and I were very impressed at the organization of the pieces by theme, in addition to the two main exhibits that Gibbes was orchestrating (Camera Works and Breaking Down Barriers). The cell phone audio tour was a nice touch that was perfectly executed by the museum. This was the very first art museum visit for both my wife and I and we are both in agreement that there is so much more to see, examine and study from the pieces contained not only with Gibbes Museum of Art, but within other museums within our area. This visit was a positive experience for both of us and we really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the deep cultural significance of
