I like to come when there is plenty of seating room because it's easier to meditate if I have space to myself. For serious meditation, I like not having anyone directly on either side of me and Sunday was perfect for this. It was not crowded at all, but there are people here. The last thing around the lake that you can see; It is a museum, and a gift shop; The museum was tiny, but features some fascinating artifacts from Yogananda’s life including an inscribed copy of his book and photos of him with important spiritual leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, and there was a hand painting work from Iran that I felt so proudly when I saw that. When your journey around the lake ends, you will see 106 steps which lead up to the newer temple where the holds meditations, meetings, prayer circles and study groups.

Scary and dangerous was probably the only thoughts I’d ever had on the subject of homelessness. Then one day an old man sat on the side of the road in the rain changed everything for me. Charles was his name, and he liked my dog. He didn’t complain about being wet, but he also happily accepted the bright orange pop-up tent that I pulled out of our camping supplies and delivered to his street corner.
There is no one giving attention, extra treats, and good praise. Just the same drill every day, watch people walk by and say how cute they are but never actually taking them home. That dog is going to feel like freedom is exactly what the first dog already has. Who’s to say which dog is right? You can definitely tell which dog has the least amount of freedom, but both dogs feel trapped in their own way.
Pete Ms. Issasi English 1302 10 June 2008 E1A: Lottery and Omelas At first glance the town in The Lottery would seem to be a wonderful place to live, beautiful scenery, kind townspeople, and a peaceful atmosphere. The story takes place on a summer morning that is described as a day only pictured in an old tall tale. With children playing around and giggling to themselves at the town square, the adults begin to gather mingling amongst themselves but never becoming to loud. There was actually a great foreshadowing of the entire story that lead to the horrible scene of the stoning, but was brilliantly disguised by what seemed like normal behaviors, actions, and descriptions. Even to the point of the actual stoning was apparently treated as their usual conspiracy that jus simply takes place.

It is a place I can relax and spend a few carefree hours with my family. Tryon is a small quite town, it a very peaceful, friendly, green and flowery place to be. The folks that live in Tryon are very welcoming. Not a single person will drive into Tryon and not get a smile or a friendly wave as they drive down the street.

In Leave It to Beaver to find the “ideal” family like June and Wards, a family with two parents. They show you another family called the Mondello, a family with two parents but, it always seems like the Mr. is out of town, making it seem like a single parent home. Many tines does Ms. Mondello ask the Cleavers for help parenting her son on her own. It made it seem like single parent homes always had problems and that they child was always on trouble. Back in the 1950s single parents home were considered taboo, you rarely ever saw it, that and interracial couples were never shown on Leave It to Beaver, nor were those who were part of the lgbt community.
