Cotton became the fabric of choice instead of wool, linen or silk. In this case the manufacturers of the other three may have had negative effects in their industries because they had competition but cotton was cheaper and easier to color. This gave people more affordable choices and industries a better way to make more money. Also the machines that came to be because of this part of the revolution lead to path for methods to be used in other areas like steam machines being used in boats. As a result cities grew faster and the economy was stronger.
They now had different diets from which they could live a more leisure life. The civilization was also effected because of a new thinking government. It was more modern and was more sophisticated. It effected the civilization in a positive way in which there was a lot of development and a learning process. In contrast, the development of the Saharan Caravan trade route was quite different to the Silk Road’s development throughout time.
This could be due to the size of the city, as the population in London is huge and therefore the results are varied. Furthermore, because these two cities are very similar it could be said that there is a North/South divide, with the south being more beneficial because the government is there, which means that they are more likely to receive regeneration sooner. If resources are allocated properly an effectively run government crime prevention program is invaluable. The cost-benefit analysis suggests that an economic activity should be expanded as long as the results provide more benefits than the overall costs. In both the U.K. and the U.S. the taxpayers are required to foot the bill for an ever-expanding crime prevention program. However, it is safe to assume that most individuals would rather invest in their own personal safety as well as the safety of their communities. A safer society would also see long-term economic benefits such as overall increase in GDP.
Fiber cabling is growing very fast due to how much more efficient it is than copper cabling. Fiber, for one, has a greater bandwidth. Single mode cables offer the most bandwidth but you have the option of the single mode, 62.5 or 50 micron multimode cables. In addition to that, fiber can carry more information than the copper. There are several reasons why planners and developers focused on the Cramer Hill area for redevelopment. First of all, the area is near major transportation routes and centers, including the Ben Franklin Bridge, Interstate 95, Route 676, the Walter Rand Transportation Center, and the RiverLine. City planners know that residents and businesses want easy access in and out of an area for the greatest number of people. Secondly, Cramer Hill is a stable neighborhood with a lower percentage of crime and poverty than many other parts of the city. This is a desirable trait for redevelopment because it makes it more likely that efforts will be successful.
The development also affected international and national tourists, who also had positive views of the development. For most commuters, highways are taken for granted. Without highways, things like getting to and from work or visiting family may take much longer.
