January 30, 2013 Compare and Contrast Calling or Texting The technology communication has advanced in this time, in the past we have two types of communication: the texting type that involve the post card or the letters and the telephone, people in that time prefer the letters because they feel more professional and elegant that in the present when the letters doesn’t exist anymore and with a message by cell phone they feel satisfied. By talking about the texting way of communication we will find advantages and disadvantages, an advantages: you can revise and send the correct words, also another one is that you can’t reject the message, and finally with an educated message you could say a lot of a person; and disadvantages: could have a huge misunderstanding, can’t have the same symptoms in calling which are anger, joy, human emotions and finally you will have a lack of personality. Mean while in calling we have also pros and cons, in pros: a good understanding, have a good personality and in cons: said whatever comes to your head, the receiver has the right to answer it or not. If we see in the UK, the BBC newspaper do a poll of what do people prefers, and the answer was the text message “It might seem obvious, but it's now official: more people are using their mobile phones to text rather than call.” (Kadri, BBC). With a message you can revise and send the correct words and have a better communication that with a phone call that you said whatever comes to your head and mind, and that’s why in this comparison the people prefer texting. In another comparison, when you call someone you can explain the ideas and have a good understanding, that in a message if you explain it very well there would a minimum of misunderstanding and you will need to call him and solve the problem, that’s why there are persons who
