BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care Unit: 1 Communication within the Health and Social care Sectors Task 1/ P1 Introduction: In this assignment I am going to identify different forms of communication methods I can find within the health and social care sector include different range type of communication that may take place at a residential home as well as range of verbal and non-verbal communication. Within health and social care, there are many different form of communication method include: Body language which is non-verbal communication as it’s the way our body communicate with other, such as the way we move and position our bodies with different movement. Body language says a lot about our interest in the communication we’re having. Eye contact is as well an important form of non-verbal communication which is a direct visual contact with other eyes. Sign Language Sign language is non-verbal communication and helps to communicate with people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Facial Expression which is non-verbal communication is the feeling expressed by a person face so we need to be aware of our facial expressions and control them at all times. Written communication which is verbal communication is anything that is written down as a message (letter, email, note, report and book). Listening communication which is a verbal Communication is important to listen carefully and understand other people point of view as its show respect. Task 1/M1 Now that I have identified forms of communication in P1, I now need to choose four that I have identified and describe different forms of communication and why they are used.
