I chose this because this test meant a lot to Christopher. He excels in mathematics and science and this test set him apart from the other disabled peers in his school. You will find however, that this is not an ordinary maths exam. This test is created to identify Christopher’s way of thinking. For example; there are some questions that test Christopher’s mathematics skills and identifies that he’s good at maths.
One of the most interesting parts of the novel for me has been Christopher, the main character. Christopher is a 15 year old boy with Asperger's Syndrome. His condition causes him to be incredibly gifted at math and sciences, but at the same time socially awkward. He finds people confusing and can't really understand emotion. He is almost the complete opposite of me, and I find it hard at times to track his line of thought.
Secondly, his brutal honesty is also a great factor when it comes to revealing the truths in society. He states himself that he is incapable of lying, because lies are things “which didn’t happen and they make me feel shaky and scared.” This undeniable honesty not only makes him credible, but add the details of his analyses and you have a perfect innocent revealing the real problems of today’s society. Finally, he sees everything completely differently from the rest of us. And
However, this problem is tricky as no one has ever challenged Mazey due to his expert and position power, making the situation more complex and difficult to resolve. Frazer’s Options Frazer has three options he can choose from. He can find a way to compromise with Mazey, say nothing and learn to work around Mazey’s behavior like his peers, or quit and find another job. All of these options require careful consideration as each can result in a negative outcome. The best option that is most suitable for this problem would be to find a way for Mazey and the subordinates in Hudson to compromise.
They can surprise you and even outshine you. They surpass expectations and face stereotypical challenges daily. And although many stereotypes perceive them to “Retarded, Dangerous, Seizures, Speechless and Incapable of Love” they are everything but these things. On a daily basis these children overcome bullying and discrimination against their physical characteristics. They truly are amazing, loving, and intelligent; I know this from experience as I watch my younger brother grow up and deal with the stereotypes as well as prove them wrong.
The traits that would be detrimental to Woodside would be being permissive and lack of guidance. Woodside showed that he is permissive because he was covering the mistakes and even staying late to cover the mistakes of others. He showed lack of guidance because he was unable to help George with his business and personal problems. I think that Woodside showed that he possessed both types of leadership traits. There is no doubt that he is a people-oriented leader by getting along with his colleagues and had developed trust with all of his subordinates.
Furthermore, his communication skills and effective leadership skills were poor for a project head. Prior to Fester arriving Knowlton was made sure he was the one who stayed the latest and was happy that his hard work was paying off. Fester, the other main character, was a very brilliant workaholic who didn’t integrate well into the team. He was not afraid to expose his knowledge, and prove that he was very confident about himself and his ideas. Fester was very aggressive in his approach to solve problems; he was willing to do whatever it took to make his point.
Character to Theme Almost everyone is prejudice in some way or another, its almost impossible not to be. Its almost as difficult to not act on the prejudiceness inside almost each and every one of us. Atticus Finch was an amazing person because he seemed to have mastered this skill. If he was prejudice, he did an extremely well job of hiding it because throughout the whole To Kill a Mockingbird book it seems as if he is only ever trying to be helpful to everyone or at the very least he is always trying to show respect to everyone around him. This is the exact opposite of what prejudice is.
He makes decisions that are controversial but he always seem to produce the result he needs to save a person’s life. Holmes is only focused on one thing and that is solving mysteries. Holmes solves mysteries which the police cannot solve due to their lack of observation. Then Holmes being able to act upon what he has deduced, can act without regard for emotion.
In the first chapter it explains, that even if you do something wrong it is ok, because you need to learn from it and next time do an even better job. When we go into the second chapter, she discusses the theme into another perspective. It made me realize that in my family I do have a member that does this whole thick face black heart. My brother, he always has an attitude that shows that he does not care what people have to say and does what he wants. He shows no fear in anything, even if he is afraid he will find a way to take it and learn to take the fear away, which I personally find amazing.
