The process of growth to adulthood encounters various steps which make a person be the way they are in the later life. We will learn this from the life experience of a person that I engaged in a talk about his development stages from childhood focusing on various issues such as trust, confidence, and other contributory factors to growth. It all started with the issue of developing trust with the parents and family members. Having good parents, he found that it was easy to trust them due to their contributions. He lived with the mother who was more caring and has continued to be even to this day. The father was not always at home due to some external commitments. My friend was very comfortable with his abilities and always trusted that he can perform excellently in different situations. Though situations are always different, he knew the areas he could fully trust his abilities and those which he allowed some doubt. He recalls the nature of his childhood identity as a lonely child due to being the only kid in the family. My friend developed the nature of the above behaviours as some things were useful to him. His interaction was more drawn towards working together with friends which made him a team player earning him an automatic respect. When asked about various issues, he was free to interact and answer questions freely without waiting to be pointed. Personal accomplishments are a thing to be proud of at all times. Apart from being with friends and achieving great things, he also recognized his efforts and became proud of the things he did. This also involved personal decisions whereby he considered them right. Such situations do not mean that there cannot be disappointments. Therefore, he was always ready for shame as well as trying to justify his actions to avoid punishment. Time seemed to be a factor that was never enough. Every stage of life needs to be accompanied by development and new ventures. This was one drive that kept him going. He always looked forward to coming up with new ideas which would lead to a better life. Therefore, he was curious in knowing how various situations would work out.
