Jose Mejia Jose 1 May 12, 2012 Superior Rice Vs. Lame Beans In life there are several varieties of food. Two popular and common types of food that are used in many cultures are bean and rice. Beans and rice actually go well together and are great combinations but for now I will give you my opinion of which is better. In my opinion, rice much better than beans. Rice is superior and I shall explain to you why. Rice is everywhere. No matter where you are or go, rice will always be on the menu as the main or side dish. In places like Asia, you will see a lot of Asian people carry bags of rice on their shoulders and take them away on their carts. In South America you will see people eat rice during breakfast lunch and dinner, even as midnight snacks. It’s the most common food around and the one you can eat for the rest of your life and not get sick of it. There are more than 25,000 varieties of rice which means you can eat the same old rice everyday but with new flavors. The most boring are of course the white and brown, but you wouldn’t expect yellow, pink, or even green rice would you? Well there are more colors and surprises to them all. I’m sure you can’t say” I’m going to eat yellow beans for dinner today”, But you can say” I’m going to eat pink rice today”. With more varieties of rice, more great flavors will indulge your taste buds. Not only is rice everywhere, There will always be a lot of it. What most people notice about rice is that they’re tiny, which is why they eat a lot of it. With so much little rice you always get full and get the right amount of energy to go through the day. I’m sure if I eat a small plate of beans I wouldn’t be satisfied, while on the other hand I can the exact same amount on the plate with rice and be able to work for a couple of hours with no worry.
