Person-centered values provide a foundation on which we can base and build our practice. We need to understand what the values are, how we can promote them and why they are important. A value is simply what is important in the life of the person we are supporting. These are the person centered values; Individuality, rights, choices, privacy, independence, dignity, respect, partnership, equal opportunities. 1.2 person centered values are important with care plans as Care planning is all about improving the lives of those who receive care.
The aims of a company are strategic because they are there as steps to be the best that they can be and are ways in which the company can achieve what they set out to do. Below are examples of two very different company's and an explanation of how they use strategic planning, what there organisational structures consist of and what functional areas each of them use to implement their overall Plans. They hope to do this through achieving many different objectives.
Effective communication methods are constantly changing, and innovative methods to engage key audiences must be used. Robert Greenleaf, the Author of Servant Leadership: A Journey into the Nature of Legitimate Power & Greatness defines the Servant Leader: “The servant leader is servant first…It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead” (p. 27). I will attempt to examine the leadership of the Department of Children’s Services; its ethical code; and my personal ethical stance. Objective 4 Discussing the key characteristics of Empowerment and Effective Support Practices Empowerment is a compelling concept that I believe means to draw strength or “power” from within. I am fond of the person-centered approach because it emboldens advocates to develop skills in empathy, positive regard, genuineness, appropriate self-disclosure, and intentionality. As a family support service advocate, I am applying my knowledge, education, and life experiences to empower the clients that I serve at the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. I will be facilitating informative parent workshops that will provide resources and tools to educate and build confidence within the parental clientele. I am exceedingly committed to supporting, encouraging, and educating parents and their families in our Sacramento communities.
Concept of helping clients during the case management process The concept of helping clients during the case management process will reduce recidivism, enhance public safety, and promote success. The case management concept is complex because different components may happen at different times during the treatment process. Each individual is unique and different, so therefore, the treatment has to be different. Freeman (2001) stated, “The traditional case management plan calls for reduction of problematic symptoms by a certain percentage” (p. 77). Case managers are professionals who provide treatment and services to clients so they can live productive in society.
This | | |mode of thinking meant that organisations took decisions for people about how they should live and the nature of the care | | |they received. This has changed, or is in the process of changing, to an approach where support strategies are negotiated | | |and agreed between service providers and service users. | | |This philosophy that underpins practice can be thought of as guiding principles of person-centred planning, and includes | | |increased community access and inclusion, the development of relationships, greater opportunities for choice, the | | |advancement of valued and respected roles, and the development of improved personal skills (Magito-Mclaughlin et al., | | |2002). Person-centred planning is about equality (Stalker and Campbell, 1998). It challenges the unequal power structures | | |that have long reigned in the relationships between service providers and service users.
What are the core responsibilities of human resource management? Explain Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory. How is goal setting related to need satisfaction? The core responsibilities of human resource management are employee recruitment and selection, employee training and performance evaluation, planning for staffing needs, employee separation, and employee compensation and benefits. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory he proposed that all people have basic needs such as hunger and protection that they must satisfy before they can consider higher order needs such as social relationships of self-worth.
The community responsibilities to the individual are to provide the necessities that are needed in everyday life to survive/provide for their families. Individuals also look for the safety from the community, police, and other people with authority. Also the communities look for the mayor of that community to make good decisions to get the much needed things in the community done.
