Idealized Love “When we fall in love, we believe our partner is irreplaceable. We have found the one who is perfect, just right for us. The act of falling in love, in a sense, means that we reject the notion that individuals are interchangeable” (Gianotti). In F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby, idealized love strongly motivates the key characters Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan. While their journey together begins as a brief fling, the two are soon engrossed in a lifelong relationship filled with undying affection and enduring regrets.

I love well written books that I can visualize with as I am reading. I love an author that can use words and phrases to keep me guessing throughout the book, it gives me the urge to want to know what is going to happen next. I want to keep reading to get to the end to fully understand what the author’s purpose is. I love a story that is very detailed because it gives me the chance to place myself in the story and really get into it.

The love of family honor is what keeps these lovers apart: the feud between the Capulets and Montagues. The purpose of this essay is to provide examples of these two types of love, which will then be compared and contrasted. People should understand Romeo and Juliet, and further study its themes to build up a successful literature pathway. Romantic love is the most basic type, where two people have a mutual connection of love towards each other.
The books tone also includes romance, which Kluger included through T.C. and Alejandra and their love hate relationship. I think intriguing would be the best word to define this book because the author made the reader wanting more, to see what happens next every time the students had one of their situations.
