APUSH Jamestown Letter 9/29/12 Dear beloved brother, I have arrived here safely at the Jamestown colony of our great homeland England and I have been here for three months now. The journey over was anything but pleasant, the conditions on the way over where god awful. As we departed for the colony our ships were stalled in the channel between England and France for nearly a month. Had the winds not turned in our favor I believe we would have returned soon as the passengers were becoming rowdy as we could still see home but had none of the benefits of being at home. As the winds shifted we proceeded on down into the warmth of the tropics.
My uncle is in the army, and he has been stationed in Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Germany, and Georgia. My family and I have visited all of these places except Texas. Therefore, I have seen many army bases, and all of these bases have different ways of honoring deceased veterans. Over Easter break this past spring we went to Fort Stewart in Georgia. Their way of honoring the soldiers who have died was unique.
In 1856 Henry became gauardian to Jane's 4 younger sibling, after both Janes mother (1953) and father (1956) died. Doc grew up with strong family relationships. The Holliday and the McKey families were a close knit clan. They lived in close proximity of each other, and often frequented each others homes. So when Doc was out on his own, he probably looked for close, loyal, family-like friendship.
Once he came home from the rehab facility my girlfriend helped take care of him while I was at work. She helped in every way she could and one of my dad’s last wishes was that I merry her because of what she had did for him. She is now my ex-wife but I will never forget how much she cared for me and my dad at our time of need. My dad Frank J Anderson in my opinion was the greatest man that ever lived. He was a hard worker, a provider, a teacher, and a father.
My cousin Nicole was born in 1986 and the reaction of my grandfather is caught on home videos. The expression of love and high emotions were brought out of him at that time. The other cousin was born soon after and after long years of somewhat depression of his children moving out and his parents dying was suddenly erased. “He seemed a much happier and loving man that I always remembered he was.” says Aunt Jenny. “The years where his grandchildren were born was really in my sense, the prime of his life.” Home videos of me as a baby and Da’dooch together are proven facts that him and I bonded well even though I was a young
My mother and father after being married for 25 grumpy years, decided to divorce three years ago. I also have two amazing and sweet older brothers, who both still reside in Louisiana. My oldest brother, Allen, has been married for 15 years and has one tough girl and two rowdy boys. Todd, my second brother, on the other hand joined the army when is was 30 and has been deployed four different times to the middle east. He is out of the army now and has a peaceful life living in Baton Rouge with his new wife and two teenage stepdaughters.
Had Odysseus not thought of escaping under the sheep, Odysseus probably would have been trapped inside Polyphemus's cave until he was eaten. Furthermore, typical heroes are loyal; Odysseus definitely has this personality trait. Odysseus definitely proves his loyalty to his wife more than once. In order to return to his home and wife, he spends nearly 20 years on his journey. Throughout his entire journey, he never forgets about home and he remains dedicated to his wife.
Obama’s life experience has given him a desire perspective on life, which he has combined with his own passion and love for this country. Obama can enable all Americans with diverse points of views to respect each other, through his eloquence reminders and reprioritization of the fundamental American goals of a better life and a shared love for his country Obama had a diverse background. He was born in Hawaii, to parents from Kansas. They separated when he was two years old, and divorced in 1964. Instead of the common stable family and charmed life that all previous Presidents have had, Obama was forced to create an image of his absent father that according to what was told him by his mother and parents, whom he was raised with.
My grandfather always loved Penn State football, and would always talk about Penn State University to me when I was younger. Once I got the acceptance letter to Penn State I thought of how proud my grandfather would have been if he was alive and knew that his first granddaughter to attend college had
The holiday of Thanksgiving, although celebrated yearly in my family, has been incredibly inconsistent throughout my life. All other major holidays, such as Christmas, Easter and The Fourth of July, have been held in the same place for as long as I can remember. Both sides of my family celebrate Christmas at my house every year. My family always goes to my Aunt Ellen’s house for Easter and to Lake Geneva for the Fourth of July. These are just some of the many traditions that my family hold, but one that we do not is the location of Thanksgiving dinner.
