“They always played a big role in my life, and encouraged me to be a more open person… a more outspoken person.” Nai believes that this encouragement made her stronger in comparison to her initially shy and soft spoken personality. Admission Application Essay MSN- I have been a practicing RN for 28 years. Most of that time I have spent in the Emergency Room setting. I completed my BSN 13 years ago at St Louis Hospital College of Nursing where I sustained a 4.0 GPA throughout the program. I enjoyed working in the community health setting during my coursework, and as a result I organized health and wellness programs within my church community, local grade school, and Girl Scout troops. I spent six years working in the St. Louis Day Schools to deliver health and wellness services through the St Louis foundation.
My wellness plan will address five topics that I feel are most important. These five areas are: exercise, nutrition, pressure release, financial control and my family. Exercise -This year, I have already started to control my own weight, but my main problem is perseverance! I am very good about do it at the same time, every day——just some crunches, some jogging in place. I have now been going pretty consistently for half year so maybe I have broken my cycle.
As a child, I had always pondered what I would be when I grew up. When I was about 5 years old, I was determined to grow up and be a stay at home mother, just like my own mother had been at the time. I was determined to be the best mother in the world, one who would pack a delicious lunch for her children, and tuck them into bed at night. However that dream changed as I grew older, and throughout my lifetime I have had many different dreams about my future; such as becoming a pop star, creating an amusement park, and writing storybooks. It was only when I finally entered college that I realized I had always loved working with, and the idea of taking care of children; and what I truly wanted to do with the rest of my life was to teach children with mental disabilities.
Managing, Learning & Liberal Arts My Personal Reflection on Managing, Learning & Liberal Arts Foundations of Management, BM 301 October 27, 2012 Abstract As I reflect on the past 5 weeks of this term and all the material presented on learning styles, management roles/functions and being liberally educated; I’ve discovered my learning styles, my strengths and weaknesses in management and a greater need to be liberally educated. It is imperative to my success that I continue to cultivate and expand my knowledge and skill level as I pursue my career and educational goals. The way I process information and connect with the world around me will have a tremendous impact on my level of success. I am determined to keep an open mind and embrace the knowledge and value of others as well as impart the things that I learn. I know that I have a responsibility not only to myself and family, but to the community around me to “Only Connect” (E.M. Forester).
Today, I’m going to talk about my personal experience and also how donating blood can save lives. When I was pregnant with my first child, everything was fine in the early trimesters. All my routine obstetrician appointments went well and my doctor’s would tell me that my pregnancy was progressing well. In my later months at one of my routine appointments my routine went in a different direction, south. Usually at these appointments they check urine levels, weight, and blood pressure.
Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation This summer, entering my senior year, I was able to spend it as an intern at one of the greatest cancer organizations in the nation, the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. It was an opportunity given by my magnet coordinator, in order to keep us busy and learn what political leadership is really about. As an intern, at this outstanding organization, I captured so many memories that I will treasure for the rest of life but I also learned many things that have changed my life for the better. To start off, I believe that all of my years as a student in the magnet program have been preparing me for this, my internship because it equipped us with all the necessary tools to be able to handle the job as an intern. All of my magnet classes, from the beginning, taught me all the necessary things in order for me to be ready for my “job.” The teachers, especially, helped us be ready this internship had in store for us.
