Whilst I was doing this course I realised this course is for people who want to pursue a career in a health and social care sector, to become a nurse, midwife, social worker, counsellor , care worker etc. That’s why I carried on to do level 3 at sixth form. | When I started this course in September (Health and Social Level 3) I had more of an understanding of what I’ll gain in terms of skills and a lot of knowledge. I knew as this was a BTEC Health and Social course it would consist 100% of coursework but my teacher gave me more information about this course such as there is 6 units in year 12 and another 6 in year 13. My knowledge in Health and Social is getting better as my teachers told me what to include in my assignments and how to get a pass merit and distinction.
I was a huge jock in high school and it has taught me to be a team player and a leader in my life. Right now I do not have a job. I was laid off by my last employer and I felt that it was a sign that I should go back to school again and get that all important degree. I’m going to get my associates first then I’m going to get my bachelors. I have been in the retail business my whole professional career and felt that a business degree would help me achieve my goals.
lease provide detailed information about yourself in one, cohesive, formal essay. You must address how you demonstrate the ideals of SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP, SERVICE, and CHARACTER to be selected into NHS. * I feel that I demonstrate the ideals of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character in a very unique way. To start off, I have maintained a 3.7 cumulative grade point average throughout my high school career while being highly active in a year round travel team and holding a job. Since freshman year, I have been enrolled in honors and A.P.
How did you get into this field? I previously worked at Ryerson as a HR Assistant, and with that experience I updated my resume with the help of the services offered at Ryerson to students. Eventually, when I graduated I applied on all Internet job sites I could possibly find. After posting my resume on Monster jobs I was contacted by Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. for an interview, and I completely forgot I had even posted it there. My interview was a success and now I have been working for Broadridge about a year and a half now.
I am currently a sophomore in college. This time in my life is essential in and for my future development. My identity is growing and cementing as I learn new things every day and find new things about myself, who I really want to be, and what my future plans may entail. Currently, I am single, but growing in other areas of my life, and learning how to cope with world, matures me more in what kind of girl I could potentially seek out or marry some day in my future. As for work, I have been working in one way or another since I was 14.
When I took my placement test I was shocked at the result that I had master them, I was in fear that I didn’t do well, I knew that I had forgotten a lot of information and that lot stayed in my head. I had to take several remedial courses, considering my education background. I attended southwest community college and master a certificate in computer software specialist in the year of 2005-2007, and I felted very proud of myself, so I decided to take it a step further and go for an associated degree in business so that why I am here a Ashford University. I get a lot of guidance from my children, especially my daughter she is in college and she encourage me a lot, at times when I want to give up she keeps me going saying little phrases like( mom you can do it, you are never to old) the love I have for that child. I challenge with training myself to be more tactful in completing my assignment on time and studying to make good grades on quizzes and test, these were my main challenge in trying to going readjust to returning back to
I was able to go beyond the wall of commodity and experience true friendships. Before the internship, I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do after high school but as I started to begin to get comfortable at the internship, I realized that my true passion is kids so I want to be a social worker who deals with children. One who puts the child’s life before theirs and loves what they do. Because I was an intern at NCCF, I acquired many skills that I did not know I have as well as abilities and characteristics. I realized that I am extremely passionate about life and helping others.
It was only when I finally entered college that I realized I had always loved working with, and the idea of taking care of children; and what I truly wanted to do with the rest of my life was to teach children with mental disabilities. My career goal, which I have slowly been working towards throughout my 2 years in college, is to become a special education teacher for elementary students. I am currently signed up as double major in elementary and early childhood education and psychology in Queens College. I have taken many pre-requisite classes, as well as several courses specifically designed for elementary education. These courses allowed me to be taught by actual elementary school teachers, who have years of experience with working with children, and the knowledge and advice they were able to pass on truly helped me better understand what I was signing up for as an education major, and helped my improve the way I teach so that I could articulate in a way that would be comprehensible to students of a young age.
When it comes to leadership the dictionary definition of that is the action of leading a group of people or an organization, when I think of myself being a leader I think about a project that I did during the summer I had to be a leader and step up to help our team. It goes back to last year it was August and after seven weeks of learning, growing, and making the most out of my experience at the Girls Who Code (GWC) summer immersion program I stepped up to be a leader. Ever since I was a child I had an amazing fascination with computers and technology, one of my earliest memories of this was when I would go to the local mall and go to the Apple Store and I would love seeing all latest and greatest technology they had to offer, which later
Yes, we have known each other before attending college but this transitioning stage in life has really opened my eyes to my own reality. Maranda and I have known each other for about 6 years now, and I can honestly say she has helped me become the person I am today. If it was not for her getting on me, pushing me to get my things done and us working together with homework, I would probably still be in culture shock today. Every day she inspires me to do my best in college so that in the future I will be able to help provide for my family and me. Getting to know her the past few years has definitely helped made our friendship stronger, both inside and out of school.
